Well, if you give me some time I will give you notes that describe every single aspect of elastic ;-) Let's say tomorrow.
The notes will be crap at the written word, but at least complete in terms of content ;-)

Would it be possible to update the white paper before we go any further forward EK?

Well if there is a good writer around, I am sure we can collect a whole bunch of good content pretty quickly ;-)

LOL.  I'll gladly write up anything from any notes you have.  :-)

edit: I may be crap at installing a light wallet, but I'm good with the written word.  ;-)

Better not to do it at all if not done well

This should be the premise of all further steps into this direction.
I know I repeat myself, I do not want to have anything to do with any exchanges nor do I want to be part of running any project, but from other experiences I know, that opportunities vanish irrevocably with every unprofessional approach.

Sometimes we spent months writing a 500 words abstract for a project funding application. And we still screwed up because our argumentation wasn't sharp enough  Wink

For those who are bored ;-) In my relax-time I am creating a nice geek XEL status screen that I am planning to run 24h on a large 80 inch monitor hanging at the wall, so I can watch it all day long.

But since my time is limited, if anyone of you wants to play around with it, just give me a short note ;-) If I ever finish it, I will post a "real life deployment" photo ;-)

Ah, and suggestions are always welcome.

Love all kind of data stream dashboard, cool design.

Are there any Chinese exchanges we could perhaps try to get listed on?
It's a huge market and if they get interested the sky is the limit...
Of course that will require careful examination, preparation and a very well constructed and articulated approach.

Would some please explain what I need to enter for 'Enter your solution here' and 'Passphrase' when redeeming my Elastic? Is it my btc wallet private key for the former and the elastic wallet random word passphrase for the latter?

Kind regards,
BK

I'm sure EK will get it corrected.  I think in the NXT code there is a copyright notice that says the NXT developers or something like that.  It probably got accidentally changed when they went in to remove the references to NXT in the user facing code.

This did not affect any of the code currently used, instead it was some old abandoned code which people still had left over from some try-and-error experimenting. But order must prevail and I guess we could all accept to delete all those unneccessary bits and bytes. All repositories were just deleted. So what we learned from this:

1. First of all, without the existence of this commit, nobody's rights would have been violated. It's always a bit disappointing to see that people go the "quick way" instead of triple checking every single step they do, be it a commit, an email or anything else.

2. Second of all, and this is dedicated to all student coders and those who like to fork a github repository just to play around a bit: Be sure to do your due diligence before pushing anything to a remote place, which can be read by the public. Get a Raspberry Pi or something to setup a local repository and play around there. Even if you can't see any trace of someone watching, be sure that someone is  Wink

Dear Elastic team, we would like to bring to your attention that you recently made a change to your source code and license agreement which violates the GPLv2 license under which the NXT code has been released.
The problematic commit is SHA 74138264 by myalcin81, 04/09/2017 01:15 AM "missing NXT strings converted to XEL strings on relevated Web API." which replaced all copyright messages from Nxt to XEL.
We kindly ask you to revert this change as soon as possible.

You are of course free to add a separate copyright notice for your work.

@EK @coralreefer - I know it wasn't you guys that made these changes, but do you know how to reverse it?
