Yeah, really uninspiring. Empty barrels make the most noise.
Yet despite all the buzz from latecomers such as Golem and SONM, I strongly support this project for its early start and most realistic, elegant design. I think XEL will have great success and stand the test of time.

Just read the SOMN whitepaper. What a bunch of gibberish and pseudoscience. They are spouting fantastical half thought ideas with nothing concrete backing them. The author's inexperience and incompetence is clear. But I guess that in this environment of speculations that will hardly matter. Their marketing skill have already paid off. It would be sad that the real projects like XEL have yet to get proper attention they deserve, if not for the massive success ahead.

That was the first red flag. Then they cancelled the escrow without telling Sebastian Ju or the community (as I covered in my blog post). Doesn't really inspire confidence. Sadly people will still throw money at them.

I just read the nodes for litewallet-net will set up. is it to late to contribute and add one (or more) public nodes ?

I doubt Elastic devs will allow to disclose their identities, so if that's the requirement from exchange, then the exchange will probably lose their part of the precious fees from Elastic trading.
If Elastic market will be big enough I'm pretty sure such exchange will have to make an exception and list Elastic anyway, or they will just earn nothing.
After all, no one was requiring Satoshi ro reveal himself in order to get BTC listed right?
no body "owns" elastic...it is an open source project..anyone can join, contribute or be a part of it
You guys do realize that if nobody takes "ownership" of Elastic (i.e. nobody wants to reveal their identity) then that prevents XEL from ever being traded on the only exchanges that matter - Poloniex and Bittrex
It's gonna be kinda hard to hit that 100 million dollar marketcap trading on Yobit and Bitcointalk threads.
