when i click market to try and buy players i see a message saying enter 12 word password or create new wallet?

should i click create new wallet?  then note down the 12 word password?

how long before the 70% discount finishes?

If you already have a Counterparty wallet that you are using, just put the 12 words password and you are in the FootballCoin wallet.
Then, once inside the wallet, select players and also just 5* players as they are the only one on sale now.

If you click on the right corner of the player card and select buy you will see the available quantity of the respective player and the price it is offered at.

Is there already or have you considered some sort of ‘on loan’ option/side market?

Example:

I as a speculator might buy Ronaldo now with the discount for 27k XFC or around $750 at current prices with the intention of hopefully selling him for a profit in the near future or possibly only in a future season.

Risk - There may not be a lot of players in the first XFC season willing to shell out thousands of dollars on player cards.

However there may be plenty of players willing to pay >$10 to have Ronaldo in their team on a specific week.

So at the end of the season I might have earned $300-400 loaning out Ronaldo (a 50% return) and be able to sell him for the same or more than I paid.

Meanwhile the average Joe, who might only want to spend $100 over a season will have had the thrill and ability of being able to have some of the best players in his team for games when he wanted them or needed them the most.

The loan market could end up having a considerable weekly turnover that you could earn commission on too.

Good you mentioned to loan Player Cards.
We were thinking about it and the fact that you are considering it too shows that we are not wrong.
It has to use smart contracts and we shall see if it will be on the ethereum or here after segwit adoption. It is a longer shot but it is on our list.

Dev I have bitcoin in the wallet I want to withdraw but when I try to it's saying I need min of 0.01.. bitcoin that's like $20 what's happening??

It's an old Counterparty protocol problem, they keep a higher amount as reserve to adjust your tx-fee when you are sending out off the wallet, but when the transaction is complete, you'll see again in your balance the difference. As I read on Counterparty they are working right now to solve this problem and is on testnet now. Probably in the short time it'll be on mainnet, and we'll be able to withdraw very small amounts
https://counterparty.io/news/counterparty-development-update-20170518/

Dont quite understand so how do i withdraw my excess bitcoin?

Nope still not working?? Wat do I need to keep for fee I clicked max and it kept 0.0002 then tried 0.0005, neither worked

How can I take my excess bitcoin out of this?

It has been an update on counterparty and also on footballcoin wallet and apparently the reserve for taxes has been decreased.
Please try again to withdraw. I hope it works now.

If you want to participate in contests you need to have  XFC in your In-Game Wallet. To be able to move XFCCOIN from your  wallet.footballcoin.io to your In-Game Wallet you need to register your public address of your on-chain wallet to the game account.

How do I do this? Is it within the security section of my game account?

Yes you are right.
For adding the FootballCoin Wallet to your game account you have to:
Go to the game (https://www.footballcoin.io/game/#!/signin), login your account, click on User Menu (corner up right), select SECURITY, add your public wallet address in the XFC Wallet Address box and finally click the button with [Change/New Address]. After you do that you are all set and your wallet is linked to your account and the transaction is processed automatically to your game account.

My understanding is that to enter contests you need XFC in your football coin account and if you want to buy assets you need XFC in your counterparty wallet.
I purchased some XFC a few days ago and sent them from my counterparty wallet so I could join the final weekends contests but they haven't turned up in my FootballCoin account yet.

There are 2 wallets in Footballcoin:
1. The In-Game Wallet that is an off-chain wallet
2. The wallet.footballcoin.io which is a counterparty wallet so an on-chain wallet
NOTE: KEEP SAFE THE CREDENTIALS FOR THE on-chain wallet.footballcoin.io BECAUSE IF YOU LOOSE THOSE YOU WILL NEVER HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR FUNDS ANYMORE.

If you want to participate in contests you need to have  XFC in your In-Game Wallet. To be able to move XFCCOIN from your  wallet.footballcoin.io to your In-Game Wallet you need to register your public address of your on-chain wallet to the game account.

The Player Cards and Stadium Cards that are in the registered wallet are available to use in the game. DO NOT SEND ASSETS LIKE PLAYER CARDS AND STADIUM CARDS TO THE IN-GAME ACCOUNT. They are available in-game if you have them stored in the wallet.footballcoin.io that you registered to your game account.

People that got bounties and won XFC in the game will be able to withdraw that starting 8 June 2017 but have to register their wallets to the In Game Account.
People that bought XFCCOIN and sent them to the In-Game Wallet and now want to withdraw, please send a message with their account ID and wallet
public address and the amount they want to withdraw to [email protected].

If there are any questions please do not hesitate to ask. We are doing our best to serve although sometimes it may not look like that.

When is the access to the exchange planned? I want to sell my coins because the ICO is not very successful and I would be happy to sell coins at the ICO price level.
I suggest to bro you need to wait because ICo is still running and claiming funds they have 3 weeks until the ICO done and they have possible they will reach the target funds. Support XFC vote to bittrex and poloniex to listed the footballcoin so you can trade to bitcoin your footballcoin. Many people love football and I believe ones football coin listed to the exchanges site the price will increase and you will be happy because you can earn a lot of money.

The buy button for players defaults to buying 30 cards for a total of 30000 rather than 1 for 30000, unless it is me that is messing up.

You won free xfc in contests and now you are in hurry to cash out  Cheesy They told many time that Bittrex is asking to see that community want this coin listed on their exchange. Instead to post here, better to enter on bittrex slack and irc and ask them to list the xfc, and support the community.  Wink

Yes, we decided to give a better opportunity to our users to be able to create their teams and start their own competitions.
The new level of discounts should make it easier to get the "transfers" you want Smiley. Or to get your friends in on the fun, start your own contests and win XFCCOIN from there.

Plus, we're also expecting this will encourage users to buy and trade cards which can only help the project in the long run.  Wink

I don't think you are trolling footballcoin, some of your questions are legit and contribute to the reputation of this project,I'm sure you will get your answer and it will satisfy you you have done the right thing because you are an investor and ytou only want the best for your money and to the project you are investing.

Thanks, it's good to see that this isn't one of those forums/threads where you get attacked just for asking questions. And yes, I hope the devs answers will contribute to the reputation of this project.

I'm sure there must be more potential investors who are reading this thread with the same questions as me, and if these issues are answered properly then this ICO will sell out and help move things forward quicker.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. You make some good points about other ICO's.

Do you think the platform in its current state would be able to handle an influx of 10's of thousands of new users (or more) and be able to work properly?

Hi and since you're obviously new, a warming welcome to Bitcointalk is in order Smiley.

Leaving all PR etiquette aside.. have to admit that while reading your posts with interest I was more like "say it brother!" rather than "oh noes! we have a troll" (I don't think you're trolling) Cheesy. Seriously, if everyone would do their due dilligence while investing, we'd live in a world where scamming would be harder than going to work. These ICO scams stem from human greed, going both ways as both scammers and 'scamees' (if you will..) act out of greed. We could discuss this for hours though (and if we're scamming I might've just shot myself in the knee for giving away some of our doctrine Cheesy - joking, of course).

Small talk aside, the platform (game engine and hosting) in it's current state can accomodate users in the number of 10s of thousand. The code behind the game is robust enough and the hosting solution is scalable to our changing needs (traffic peaks depending on real life game dates, etc). This has been tested internally (since the closed beta) under different loads.

Ever since the public beta began though... we've only risen in numbers of simultanous sessions and concurrent contests. The platform scaled very well, in accord to our own initial tests and predictions. However, in our unperfect world we have to expect the unexpected and plan accordingly (as nobody can predict everything; this includes bugs, attacks and whatnot).

Feel free to address further questions and we'll be happy to reply (one at a time would be great as it's hard to reply to nested questions). The best test that any company can pass is the test of time and we've just begun Smiley.

Thank you for understanding where I'm coming from and recognising that I'm not a troll (what kind of troll turns up this late to the party?!).

The truth is that I had already invested before I posted my first comment. The reason I'm asking questions is because I want to invest further and to do that I would like more information about the people behind this project so I can make a better risk assessment.

So I'd like to start by asking why have so many details been held back about the people financing and working on this project? I'm looking at this in comparison to other Crypto projects which I like (Stratis, Maidsafe, Factom) where a lot more info is available.

You have a fantastic idea here and people like me will invest time and money into helping this grow but integrity is important to me so I can't convince others until I am fully convinced myself.
