@Spexx, I am yet to check the prior posts, compilation and test it out, I thought your compilation is based on cygwin; just came across this, if this is something useful to improve the efficiency; http://zachsaw.blogspot.de/2012/10/multithreading-under-cygwin.html

Thanks for that - I will give it a good read.

Best Magicoin XMG friends,

I follow Magicoin from the beginning.
After a lot of work from the developer the launch was successful.
There was a lot of pressure on him.
Logical because he wants to please everyone.
There are many questions to the developer.
He does his best to answer all questions and resolve any problems.
He is also online daily.
This is a sign of a good developer.
I have had seen otherwise.
Unfortunately, some posts falling away quick for new posts that are placed.
This while questions are asked to the community that is involved in decisions.
With regard to the donations I think it could be better.
Not to mention that there are some people who are very helpful with XMG. Very good and nice to see.
Below the list of donations.

Donation list:

Lionheart782777.8 XMG
Dukektm1388.9 XMG
GamerMiner1.2434373 LTC

I hope that all of us in this fine and special community has the same purpose and we can make Magicoin XMG a serious competitor in the altcoinworld.
The developer has indicated below, open and transparent in order to cope with the donations.
So if you feel involved in this community please donate. Every little helps.
Make sure your name is on the donation list.
Thanks for reading this post.

Some plans

This is the 5th day since launch; it won't be very necessary at this time to focus on big exchanges, but going forward, some works should be done upfront.
1) we are forging the marketing plans, one of those will be the better organization of twitter, facebook, reddit, and maintain regular updates;
2) plan to get on few more exchanges; swisscex and c-cex are two of them;
3) I've been in touch with some magi followers, some of them have provided us very nice supports; for example, ex33s offered us the dice game without asking for any bounties. Also someone mentioned working on Android wallets, while what he wants is to see the success of Magi. It's my pleasure to have them, and my work to make magi staying with user base like them.

Among these tasks, block explorer and rich list will be a more urgent one since it is needed to get into coinmarketcap and most of exchanges (e.g., bittrex). I've contacted http://blockexperts.com about this, with a charge of 0.1 BTC to create and host the explorer. It should be done soon once confirmed. The following plans will be exchanges then.

A public pledge

I'd like to send a pledge out for fundraising if you can help us. We current have limited access to magi funds since that is based coin swap, while coin swap has been delayed significantly. In some cases, BTC is needed to help promotion and importantly to get us on exchanges. Here we ask for your supports to carrier out various tasks:
1) Articles, media, video
2) promotions in social networks (registered PoA, promotion in twitter will spend some BTC too)
3) exchanges (likely somewhere to spend funds to promote and get people into this aspect)
4) reaching out people to apps dev (BTC will be likely an effective way of doing this)
5) and more ...

Wallet address:
BTC - 188AmugttD1jfy2xYNy6muTzVzYha1JEuq
XMG - 95V9eZnrghtEriGUhBwwEuqMbDm1HBJ58u

We will record all donators name, and BTC/XMG address. Your donation won't be completely free, rather we will return a portion in the form of BTC or XMG back to you later on, once we can, according to your donating weight.

MagiTeam

Magi team will be created coming out from the community. Magi had a good start, and will continue to grow. With few new features, cpu mining, coin distribution mode, and the PoS-II (we didn't talk about it much yet), magi will be a well-formed base to allow it grow up. Anyone who can contribute to magi, please contact me for bounties, or you want kindly donate your contribution (we will maintain a list for this for future disbursement when we have funds and are able to support).

Anyone who is interested to join us please send me a PM; out of Magi already had, we welcome coin/apps dev to enhance this aspect. We will also reach out other coins for possible cooperation.

Any suggestions to make magi better are welcome!

Post reminder.

Wow guys.
I must say I'm impressed.
I am proud that men like you are in the Magicoin community. You make a very good contribution to the mining process. Good work!

+1 everyone is collaborating together. I think this and consistent marketing is going to set apart magi to grow its market cap to the top 25 coins on the market.

The market on cryptoine is starting to build up at the 5000 satoshi level. It looks like that was the floor. Anyone who got in is lucky.
that is uber low price for coin wich is hard-to-mine.

ok you win  Angry   Wink

I have created a batch file to start 31 instances and I may created another to kill them all off!

Good stuff!

Update

Create a start.bat with(line for each thread and mine point to your batch file that starts minerd) :-

start mine
start mine
start mine

Create a stop.bat with :-

taskkill /im minerd.exe /f
taskkill /im cmd.exe /f

Please note the above stop.bat will kill all minerd processes and all CMD prompts!!!!

Nicely done. I have set myself the task of creating a command-and-control app for doing this with a minimum of effort. I may be some time ...

Maybe Spexx's doesn't handle multi processors well?

On a single X5570 system:

Testz compiled v1.1 : 45 Kh/s
DeMarcus v0921 generic : crashes (needs a CPU with AES support?)
Spexx : 50 Kh/s

EDIT : confirmed on a few other servers that DeMarcus's crashes if there's no AES-NI capable CPU present and Spexx's only utilises half the available hashing power in a dual CPU machine.

I have a dual Xeon ES server 2.3Ghz 32 core and I get 153 Kh/s

Where is the link to the Spexx version so I can test ?

https://www.dropbox.com/s/hiadf8o5u7bsit7/XMGpoolminerWin64.rar?dl=0

only got 41kh/s, with my other miner I get 153 kh/s!!! - lol

Pmsl. Now stop laughing and follow the instructions for starting multiple instances of minerd with one thread per instance, as mentioned here:-

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8926975

I bet you one XMG that you get more than 153 Kh/s Cheesy

For shits and giggles I tried the single instance approach and I got around 184kh/s.

I say around ad there were 31 instances running and I took an average.

I think I may go with the miner from MarcusDe as it is easier to start.

Need to run some more tests.

I won my bet Smiley So you got 20 percent increase in performance but you are sticking with the slower one because it is easier to start? My turn to laugh Cheesy

Tried this one. Performance identical to the Sandybridge version, so I compared the compiled code for the two versions. The code is identical, which is what I expected.

Yea, what could be expected.

Miner for new AMD CPUs:
Anybody have these?

CPUs based on AMD Family 16h cores with x86-64 instruction set support. This includes MOVBE, F16C, BMI, AVX, PCL_MUL, AES, SSE4.2, SSE4.1, CX16, ABM, SSE4A, SSSE3, SSE3, SSE2, SSE, MMX and 64-bit instruction set extensions.

I will make one more for athlon-fx (K8), and wait for new code :-)

BTW, everytime I download miner with chrome it says it's bad file, BUT... when I download actual trojans from wilileaks which goverments use to spy us chrome is silent.
Here is the link lol: https://wikileaks.org/spyfiles4/
