The latest code v1.3.1 is live on the master branch [https://github.com/magi-project/magi]. The Qt was tweaked the most and all prior issues were fixed. Remaining issues are likely broken daemon compilation at this moment, and a bit more tweaks for OSX too; I'll fix.

If you can't wait for official compiled wallet, pls do so of compilation on your own. We're using LevelDB; if you're upgrading from version prior to v1.3.0, pls sync from scratch, or download (a while ago): http://coinmagi.org/bin/block-chain.

Compiling daemon should be good now; all final for now.

Sounds good - I'll give a windows compilation a go if I get a chance today - looks a little more complex to compile magi than compiling Bitcoin core - but I should manage.

But after a while it goes wrong and i have to restart with an old blockchain.
(I sent a copy of the debug log a few messages before)
So the wallet works good for a certain time (a few months staking), then it breaks and you need to restart.
Also when windows crashes, sometimes the blockchain will become corrupt.

I'll have that as being the next things.

I believe magi's PoS seems working well, cause it makes one having such a huge amount of coins being too much concerned about the rewards. Smiley No offense. It's kinda coming down to how so-called PoS-II works; be sure to check if what you PoSed matches with APR; if not, then could be strategy of putting how much coins in stake..

As to the network height, it's supposed to be fluctuating.. However, I'll get it into be on the to-do-list of the mPoS things that's part of the works after this release.

Its okay for now.
Stake is a tenth of total sum, network weight the same.
I always use blocks of 1000 coins.
Staking Reward : around 8 coins per 100000.

But after a while it goes wrong and i have to restart with an old blockchain.

Thanks for the update on the wallet issue The Frisian.
And Cryptonaire you are welcome.
I hope Magi could do another Proof of Interest campaign in the future.

I have a problem with the wallet:

..

After a while the connections go back from 4 until 0 and the program says wallet offline.

What can be the problem?

So much staking and so a low reward is also not right....

Any ideas?

Hey magic, I haven't received anything yet  Huh

Registered at the Bitcoingarden thread under the same handle as here, Stacey2911. Address was 9KYKcWV3wjWNy3xaFyftTmXHvuqjwzB776 and I've doubled my balance since entry.

That's my last few months of coins in, doesn't include me recombining blocks into my stake address. No interest from the campaign has come through yet.

Glad to see you again. It's been some time for me on the work stuffs as well. Smiley I'm not yet into Raspberry, but someone did a guide as I remember. I'll try to find it out. Also I'm interested to get a Pi like for staking; either way I'll figure out a guide.

Glad to see you too Joe. It is nice to be back with Coin Magi as it is one of the best altcoins out there with a good community and solid development. I've become interested into staking XMG with a Raspberry Pi 3, but if it is possible to stake on the Pi Zero too, then I would prefer it as it is much smaller.  Smiley

Hey 111magic! Long time no see. Thanks for sharing this link towards the Raspberry Pi wallet build. I've been anxious to start my very own XMG Raspberry Pi node and start staking within it 24/7. Since the Pi uses very minimal electricity, it should be very convenient to stake and mine some XMG with it.

I've been holding so many altcoins, and have been trying to keep up to date with all of them so I haven't got time to check out on Magi. Still, I would love to get back to buying and staking XMG for the next POI (if there is going to be a next one soon).  Roll Eyes

I might give that a go myself some time. I want to also start researching how to create apt-get packages - would be great to have a apt-get install magi-pi

Welcome back Abiky good to see you on the forums again

Sounds great. It would be very handy to quickly setup your Raspberry Pi wallet with just a single command. There are many users which are not very tech savvy when it comes to compiling and building a wallet, so this would make it easier for them.

I'm glad to see you too Starmman. It has been quite some time since I have been away from Coin Magi, since I have been very busy with other altcoins as well as college stuff. Whenever I have free time, I will try to keep updated with Magi. Just got interested into making my very own Raspberry Pi wallet to stake some Magi and leave it working for 24/7 generating you some "free" XMG with no effort involved.  Smiley

It's working again.

But the network weight is far too low so I think many wallets have problems.
Within 5 min. I was on top of the staking list, while not present there for more than 10 hours.

I decided to download the blockchain again and start again.
After a few restarts because of the orphan problem mentioned above I resulted in a bad wallet.
(only 8K of my coins came back in the wallet)
After a repairwallet and restart all the coins came back.

But I think there's still something wrong.

Glad to see your wallet is working again. It is very important when 1st starting the xmg wallet to leave staking off until the wallet is full synced.

I also had this problem today, I restarted the wallet, and I am good now. I must have been on a fork.

The error log says:

connection timeout
ERROR: mempool transaction missing input
received block 54ce5c1e3e16d1c4184a
ProcessBlock: ORPHAN BLOCK, prev=9d47268d22c52279bfb4
trying connection 193.83.31.204:8233 lastseen=300.9hrs
received block 9d47268d22c52279bfb4
ProcessBlock: ORPHAN BLOCK, prev=b0f5f69d62e22a017048

leading to all connections closed and wallet offline

I experienced a problem with orphans earlier that restarting the wallet fixed.

I've had problems with other coins not being able to establish a connection.  One thing that work for me was to remove all the previous "addnode" commands from the configuration file and just add some new ones from a block explorer or recent nodes from an exchange.  You might try that.  There are some you can find at https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xmg/#!network under the node list button.
