The return isn't enormous and the weght decreases over time so you have to use coin control to increase the weight again (its discussed in the last two pages), also look out foe the rc version of the wallet its much better. The link to the source/binary is in the first post of this page.

If you have any questions about the coins there are tons of people who can help you on here.

The return isn't enormous - TRUE
the weght decreases over time so you have to use coin control to increase the weight again - FALSE

use the newest wallet version adjust the split/combine values as it fot to ur ammount of coins
and enjoy zero micromanagement 24/7 staking

the only reason XMG is not one of the best hybrid coins
is the imbalance between network supporting POS node rewards
and instant coin dumping POW coin diff coin reward exploiters

once joe fix this future is bright
Thanks for correcting me - I must have configured something wrong in my magi.conf settings as I'm still using coin control in the new version =)

once rewards small u switch on another CPU coin
and the small hashrate normal miner later have to mine the high diff low reward blocks....)

Wow, Magi just topped 7k sat and broke through my sell chain again. Awesome movements are going on this week. Not sure what the market cap looks like - need to start building the chain back together again =)

If Magi drops to $0.01 i would also buy a lot! Grin
But i think it will never see that price again.
The value will be higher!

Yeah that dream seems far to become accomplished right now. Still, I think that Magi is still undervalued considering all the goodness it provides such as unique mining, good community and development. I hope that it keeps getting the attention it deserves. Hopefully, I would have enough XMG by then to participate into POI once more!  Cheesy

Hi all, im new with Magi and just bought some, anybody have kept the coin and mining in POSwallet?

Hi, Welcome to Magi. Its an awesome coin with tons of potential.

Yes, a lot of people are staking Magi. The return isn't enormous and the weght decreases over time so you have to use coin control to increase the weight again (its discussed in the last two pages), also look out foe the rc version of the wallet its much better. The link to the source/binary is in the first post of this page.

Magi has been a bit of a rollercoaster today on poloniex. My entire sell chain was almost depleted at one stage before the drop, I was contemplating moving my speculative sells into the chain to keep it going, today's volatility should hopefully allow my chain to be extended a bit further. It seems like Friday is a good day for trading Magi =)

It really seems so. Magi has definitely brought enough interest into the markets to make its price rise. I'm very impressed with Magi so far, being able to reach near $0.03 in just a few days. I think that this is the result of the POI launch date that is about to happen very soon. If only XMG could get back to $0.01 just to get enough coins to participate into the POI at a cheaper price... Roll Eyes

I think MAGI is a great coin

The market cap is so low currently

Any XMG under 10k would be a steal, Ive suggested many of my friends to look into this coin and theyre pretty much interested.

Nice to see the MAGI support

Staking question:
is it possible to choose which coins I'm sending?
I mean - could I choose to send the oldests coinst only? How to to this?
Thanks!
Yes, go to settings and enable coin control. Then in the send section of the system you can select which coin fragments you want to send. You can order them by date.

If you need any more help just ask!

as starman said but not the oldest! send the youngest coin you have so you destroy only the least amount of coinage

Thanks starmman and groggin!

Do you guys have Telegram?
It's a nice messaging app by a nonprofit company with open source code base (at least that's what they say I didn't check it myself).
The reason I am asking is because Telegram has a big number of users who are into crypto, and has quite a lot of group chats for various coins.

I am thinking of Magi could open a group chat on Telegram that's why I am writing about it not because I want to promote Telegram.
It would be really nice to meet you guys over there Smiley

Magi for all!

Things are looking really good for Magi this week. Market cap has reached another ATH this morning at $153k. Price/USD is up by 18% to $0.026, the markets are very liquid and there is a nice bit of turbulence in there. Trading seems to be on a 24 hour base now rather than 12 hours. I hope some more people got in when the price dropped last week =)
It all looks very nice.
You are right we are not very active on Facebook.
Its hard to keep all different sociale media up to date!
I think there is a way to link communication channels together, For example you can sync a twitter feed with Facebook and also have the feed on the website. That way official communication channels can be simplified and exposure to interested parties increased. If you need any help on that let me know.
Thanks amigo i will look into this! Magi could use more promotions.

Hello PTT,

Has your blockchain been downloaded yet? I had this issue when waiting for my wallet to synchronise - it sorted itself out after a few hours.
Also, I notice you are using a slightly older version of the client - there is a release candidate version (1.3) which most people on here are using which fixes quite a few issues. If you are having trouble connecting to enough nodes drop another line and I'll send you my nodelist.

"blocks" : 979779

One thing i didn't think about until now was coin control - with Magi, your stake threshold reduces over time - so you have to send your coins back to yourself to increase your weight. You need to send your oldest cons back to yourself after around 7-10k confirmations. Search coin control on this thread to see more information about how to do it if you don't already know, there are some post about the optimum way to stake.
