No worries, it's generic info on how the connection is made. Dosen't need to be a wallet, it can be any kind of service running. Same as you enter http://a-web-site-url:81 in the url bar. You are just overriding the default port for that service Smiley

Looks like Magi got a nice, healthy climb.

The market has been going up and down like a yoyo today, shame I haven't had more time to be active on there, and I wish I'd bought more when it dropped recently LOL. There has been a ton of activity and price is still moving upwards on average. The lower limit is currently just shy of 3000. What another great day for Magi.

I see that. Very good to see and fun to follow but as usual, didn't have time to do some buy / sell to gain some more magi. Seems to be some nice movement on both sell / buy side. Magi changing hands.

So far during the up's and down's I manage to go from around 300 to 600 during a week or two Smiley Been thinking of going in with 2-3k and see how much I can accumulate playing with that instead of just a few hundreds Magi  Smiley

I started off with a few hundred now have a couple of thousand thanks to trading XMG - however I did take some of my low buy orders and push them into ETC and took them out again at 35% profit which helped a lot. The markets have been really active in the last month or so. I was fighting to keep the market liquid 6 weeks ago - now its flowing.
Its really flowing! Look at the volume and buyorders on Polo.

We have introduced discounts on orders paying with XMG - Coin Magi, discounts are 20% off monthly orders, 25% off 6 monthly orders and 30% off annual orders.

Hey guys,

Don't forget we have got a range of offers on when ordering with Coin Magi!!

Thanks for your support guys

Looks interesting, when my current hosting contract comes to an end next year I'll bear you in mind and take a look at your services in more detail. I might have enough Magi accumulated by then to start using it for payments as well as accumulation.

Thanks.

If anyone wants to trial our services we are happy to set up some trial account with 2 months free hosting.

Thats very nice Batesresearch, thanks!

I decided to take the plunge and use the new client on my main wallet today. I'll give that a go once the network has fininshed syncing. I added all the hosts to the magi.conf but still taking forever to find new hosts. I will see if it has found any more tomorrow.

Here are the two nodes I have on my servers:

Code:
addnode=104.128.225.215
addnode=104.131.42.100

Thanks Joe, I'll add them to my wallet configuration and see if that increases the number of connections. Its strange how slowly the new wallet find new connections compared to the old one.

Looking forward to the release version. No pressure though, take your time

Here is a bit bigger list of active nodes we have on our pool:

http://www.zpool.ca/explorer/peers?id=251

Cheers

I've noticed the zpool list of nodes as the port number after the IP, do we need to remove these in our magi.conf or if they will work fine with our without? Also, does anybody know if we need to restart the wallet for the changes in the conf to take effect?

By using node=ip:port it tells your wallet / node to connect to that ip using that port, if port it's not specified it will use the default port. In this case the port is specified so then it will try to connect to that ip with that specified port.

The default port for magi is 8233 so you could leave it as is, it doesn't matter. You are just specifying I want to communicate with that node on that ip on that port.

Thanks for the clarification ex33s. Magi had a good run overnight, up to 3210 at one stage and has settled back at around 2600-2700, a nice 22% increase on yesterday. Looks like the great efforts from the dev team and additional exposure of the last pump are paying dividends!

they will work fine with the :xxxxxx included, and yes, restart the wallet  Smiley

Thanks for that, I'm only just getting used to the additional setting you can use on a wallet, didn't realise they existed until a couple of weeks ago =)

Awesome, A dynamic list of magi nodes! Thanks for the list Crackfoo, I'll add that to my list.

@teammagi Is it worth adding that URL to the main post in the thread? as its really useful.

Where do I put these nodes?

You need to add the nodes into a wallet configuration file. you need to create it in the following location %APPDATA%\Magi\magi.conf (assuming you are running a windows wallet), I think magi will pick the configuration file up automatically - but I didn't check to prove it yet
