Whats the best way to stake, lets say 10000 xmg?
Is it better to send/resend 10x 1000 xmg? or 2x 5000? or 1x10000?

fwiw pretty sure i read the other day that the average chunk size on the network is between 100~300

i would everything below 300 combine into 10000 xmg blocks
this way u only have to waste ur time like every 5 days

i pray joe give us a automated non split or automerge treshhold in new wallet

I'm getting lots of practice making crypto transactions, at least.

My wallet has 2,817 transactions so far - from faucets, staking,
mining, buying, combining... and POI payments!

Most people will not want to bother with merging
their coins manually.  But to me, it is part of the fun,

once u run 20 different POS coins
i can guarantee the "fun" is pretty limited......

the only reason to like its complicated is because it remove
lazy guys from POS

but at a coin where POS  rewards not static
the only gain by have less people staking is less POS based inflation

and here XMG sure need to look at POW much more than POS

once you run 20 POS coins you want inflation to fill your pockets.
if you want 20 copy-paste coins why don't you do it on your own?!

is magi a copy paste coin?
is it a POS coin?

stop talking bullshit

how someone build his crypto portfolio is a decision everyone can make on his own
i run mostly POS coins because i want to keep my share of total coins constant without forced to POW mine

i dont sell POS income that would reduce my share of total coins

yes i fill my own pockets

but i fill them with the POS income and not with instant sell them  for BTC

im for sure that kind of investor each coin love

longterm and holding

but if a coin not manage to get their wallet into a state where POS runs without constant user interaction required
then i have to consider if the spend time to manual adjust coin pile size daily is worth it

Thanks joe!  I kinda gave up on solo-mining, since it is easier
to configure for pool mining, and the maxminers pool pays
automatically (automagically!), which makes it very easy to use.

It is interesting that the original bitcoin-qt wallet and clones had
built-in miners that required no additional software to solo-mine.
That is how i mined my first coin: 1 quark was the block reward.
Then i quickly moved on to POS coins like magi and a few others.

Magi is the only coin that i stake and mine (at the same time!)  Cool

Coin of the Magi!
OK i have some questions about using m-cpuminer.
I'm using the GUI version, trying to get it started.

This is the info i'm working with:  Solo mining:
./m-minerd --url http://127.0.0.1:RPCPORT/ --user RPCUSER --pass RPCPASSWORD
 --threads thread_numbers -e cpu_efficiency

As i understand it, RPCUSER and RPCPASSWORD can be anything.
But where do i put my magi address?
Is the parameter -addr ?
Is RPCPORT a number, and how do i know what to use there?

Maybe i'm missing something more here.  Does the wallet need to be
running and configured to solo-mine?  I'm confused.  I remember putting a
wallet in server mode before (litecoin i think) to try mining.

Hope you get the answer, or google will help that easy out; it's mining to wallet and wallet needs to be running.

This is great!  Now i'm mining and staking magi at the same time.  Cool

I have 2 workers at maxminers pool, 1 on android and 1 on windows.

m-cpuminer-qt (with GUI) works great!   Grin

(getting about 60 kH/sec on 4 threads, vs 4.7 kH/s on android 4 threads)

So the android miner works fine? Thats very good to hear!

magic, maybe someone has to update CoinMagi's mirror of NeedIfFindIt's Sweet Spot?

Code:
http://www.coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer/NeedIfFindIt-Sweet-Spot/

Latest there is sweet-spot-1.0.2.zip

And when you open 1.0.2 and click the logo you go to http://xmg.makejar.com/

Just ignore the safebrowsing BS.

Is it just me??
sweetspot doesn't show correct values...because of that my miners hash just with 10% when I could go 100% Sad

Get 1.05 - has less features but it is the last version of the SweetSpot.

Someone has included SweetSpot in rootkit or something like this. As a result someone is making money covering my name with sh!t. It becomes too expensive to explain someone what my app is doing on his PC when I don't know how it got there. I've disabled the API and I'm not going to restore it.

Read first before you move!

thanks
