The END.

DW efforts are being made to keep us on Bittrex

I hope so since Whitecoin has a lot of great potential. It could serve as a very useful PoS coin with a fully featured OS (like WhiteOS). The OS seemed like it could gain traction, but as far as I know it hasn't been updated for quite some time. I wonder how XWC is going along with development. This thread has been kept pretty quiet, but I'm pretty sure that soon it will surprise us with something pretty exciting. An online wallet would be pretty ideal. Just sharing my opinion.  Roll Eyes

time ago I did lost 100k White Coins in mintpal ;( so sad that i never will get them back

Sorry for your loss. I also loose a very huge amount of Whitecoin when I first got into it in its early days. The coins were stored on the wallet, but the reason of the loss was because I didn't made a backup of my private keys. Then, when I restored my Windows PC I realized that I missed that backup but it was really to late. I lost over a millionth Whitecoin.  Sad

Anyways, this thread has been kept silent for quite some time. I wonder what new updates or news would come up for this coin Roll Eyes

Is any positive, verifiable progress going to be made with this project anytime in the near future?

I was wondering the same thing. A roadmap for Whitecoin would be very ideal to keep track of the new and exciting things to come within the project itself. Whitecoin OS was a pretty good idea, so as far as I know there hasn't been any new version for quite a long time. Anyways, I guess it is up to buying and staking XWC coins for the meantime. Soon prices will be much more expensive than what they are right now I think.  Cheesy

Source of knowledge is experience. A.E.
I can try this to temp-fix slow start:

Code:
# Whitecoin.conf
# Blocks to check at startup
checkblocks=10
# Block verification
checklevel=3

I'm under development on raspi2..
It's normal more then 30/40 mins to boot for ready to use when blockchain is full sync (whitecoind-Whitecoin-Qt)?

Hello Neoxxx,

Unfortunately it's normal, It requires a different database type for the wallet. we are still looking for developers to improve this.

Any of you have tried to compile the client on Raspberry Pi 2 ?
I'd use one of many at home for staking ..

I have a RPi 2 running with XWC Wink see these for compiling.

Thanks for sharing these instructions. I always wanted to stake Whitecoin on Raspberry Pis so this would be a great way to stake XWC 24/7 on these inexpensive computers. Also, XWC price makes it a very cheap way to buy a pretty good amount of coins to receive stakes.  Smiley

hey guys how long until coins mature to stake? wallet open for more then 24h and not staking

Staking can take place at any time after the 2 day (48hrs) age period – some people stake right away, others take longer than 4 days.

thanks mate

Question: rebuilt my pc, downloaded xwc wallet. Have left it on all night and there's still 134687 blocks remaining. It's staking like a beast though. It keeps saying " WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers."
Then it downloads a bit more then this comes up a bit. Is this normal? Thanks

Make sure to download the latest wallet from here:
https://github.com/Whitecoin-org/Whitecoin/releases/latest

To speed things up you can dowload the blockchain from and unpack this in %appdata%\Whitecoin:
https://github.com/Whitecoin-org/xwc-blockchain

Let me know if it doesn't work out.

Thanks. Working sweet now.
