Thanks for the information. Do you think it is safe to buy a millionth Whitecoin by now? I want to help the Whitecoin network, thus I will buy lots of them (since they are dirt cheap) and stake them to support the network. Then, I would think of something to promote XWC and increase awareness.  Grin

Well yeah as you say, dirt cheap at the moment. The risk is pretty damn low due to dirt cheapness, so i'd say you're looking pretty safe.

Nice one Abiky,

App we have (price ticker)

On Cryptsy too, just as WC not XWC

Thanks for adding your suggestions

Well, Cryptsy is an exchange but what I meant with decentralized marketplace, would be something sort of like ebay, but with no central authority and the ability to buy items with your Whitecoin.  Wink

P.S. The Whitecoin Price Ticker for Android is great, but I would like to see a Whitecoin wallet for it someday in the future. By the way, what is the dev's name here on BCT? Is he or she still active?  Huh

Oizopower is the man working on XWC, he is active but undoubtedly busy. As Oizo himself has stated one of the major issues our coin is facing is a lack of skilled individuals to implement the improvements and plans that are put forward (like yours).

This was really a great crypto. I remember when I used to be a Whitecoinaire but after seeing lack of development, I sold all my XWC and exchanged them back to BTC. Still, if there would be any innovation at all, I would come back. I have plenty of ideas for the new Whitecoin 2.0 and those would be the following features:

1. Decrease available supply (to increase price as it will become more rare)

2. Make a new GUI wallet with a better interface.

3. Make a mobile Whitecoin app for Android and iOS.

4. Ability to stake Whitecoins in the cloud (see www.xpy.io for an example)

5. Physical Whitecoin currency. (could be in Gold, silver or copper)

6. Add XWC to major crypto exchanges such as Poloniex and Cryptsy.

7. Create a decentralized marketplace for XWC.

8. And something else I might have missed.  Cheesy

Thanks "Oizopower & Team" for your work and for your interest, but if we want to stand out from the crowd of shitcoins we must attract new forces, and promote new initiatives to innovate.

Seems like we are about to be de-listed @ bittrex. Sad
I'll try to contact Bittrex tomorrow and hope they will extend it a bit for us.
I believe that, actually there are few transactions and low price certainly don't favor it.

I'm going to reiterate, we need to promote and implement innovation in XWC code.
Excuse me for being a bit direct, but here apart from an IRC channel dedicated and a modded Linux distro, there is very little new compared to other alts..

We need a strategy plan for the development of XWC.

Got any ideas on innovation?

So, if we're getting bogged down with a lack of direction due to a lack of manpower;

maybe it's worthwhile considering a project/improvement that we'd like to see and getting a quote for what it would cost for an outside development group to do the work?

such as:

Smart Contracts
Reduce Confirmation Times
Built in Voting App
Known User Transactions

if we could get 1 or 2 projects done to invigorate the coin then potentially that could attract someone who wants to develop the coin further as part of the community.

Personally i'd like to see the reduced confirmation times done, but done by the method of speeding up the blockchain.

The benefit I see of doing this is that more blocks per minute (currently 1 block per minute) would reduce staking time and make XWC far more viable as a currency, as it stands it takes 4 minutes to confirm a trade and I think a viable currency needs to be much faster to work in the real world. I'd like to see a transaction confirmed in 1 minute, meaning the block chain would run 4 times faster.

This would decrease staking time and transactions by 75%

Nah, being direct is a good thing. and yes we need a strategy plan but we also need a bigger team to get that going as well.
I'm still motivated to get it all going, but we need more active members to achieve that.

just take a look at the inputs, if there's only one then its all fine
otherwise there would still be hundreds or thousands inputs Smiley

Ahh! nice one, that clears things up a lot. thanks for that, still thousands of inputs in my primary address but thats pretty understandable

sometimes if you try to consolidate by sending to yourself
-you get error because of too many inputs
-then you try to send in smaller quantities
-for example 100k 1st send, 100k 2nd send, and so on
-and you might still not end up with consolidated inputs because it might send that first 100k which was already consolidated over and over
-thats where you can use manual input selection to make sure your send includes all those small inputs Smiley

Yeah that seems to work well, I think the main reason I was getting errors was due to the wallet having been staking.

Left it to clear up all the outstanding stakes and the errors have gone.

Thanks a bunch for your help

i use the same address, error you encountered might be because of the amount of inputs in your attempted transaction, try sending in smaller chunks until its consolidated
i think i had trouble sending when i had thousands of inputs in a single transaction

Well I think that's worked... I paid a fee for doing the transaction but nothing else has changed, no withdrawal or deposit has happened. Final balance is the same

Is that what I should expect to happen?

there's an advanced setting where you can see the number of inputs for each address
its under send tab/inputs but has to be enabled in settings/options/display/coin control features

Well thanks very much for the help, I'm still unsure if I've done it right.

I sent to my original wallet address and it paid a fee for the transaction but nothing else changed..

I then made a new address and sent another amount to that wallet to see if anything different would happen..

In both cases a fee was paid for doing the transaction but there is no evidence of a withdrawal or deposit other than that.

So i'm not sure if either has worked or both :S

yes it will reset the time so its best to consolidate after you've staked
usually i consolidate like once in a month or two just to keep from getting flooded Smiley

Cheers, thanks for that, i'll do that now. I'm at the point where it's staking on old stakes and giving tiny rewards so losing some staking for a month will probably be insignificant.

So, I tried to send it to the same wallet address the coins were originally in, it gave an error.

Do I need a second wallet address?

yes, create a second recieving addy, then every day send x amt. to yourself. sending smaller amts over days-month will spread staking accordingly when the blocks mature

Hello fellow Whitecoiners !

Hope you all understand folks, it just has been to long that I wrote something here. But nevertheless I will not stop or abandon Whitecoin.

Cheers!

Everyone can read what you wrote so i'll cut to the kudos.

Always great to know you're here and committed to the community and I think I can speak for all and say that we appreciate the voluntary work you do for the coin and community.

It's good to hear that you've got some things you're tinkering with and I look forward to what comes next.

Thanks again Oizo!
