He litterally took the YAC source code, did a find and replace for YAC to YBC, and changed 1 line of code, to lower the block reward.Also, YAC will be unminable by GPUs after the next N change.
So it will be EXCLUSIVELY botnet, gotcha. What an "upgrade" indeed.
YAC is currently being mined by GPU. So it is not more botnet friendly than LTC is.
