shortly before the 51% attack I sent 25 firo with lelantus. (from private balance)
Since then I have those 25 firos in pending state. I already abandoned the original transaction. The address I sent them to doesnt have them.
Is there anything I can do?

Thanks

Don't have 1000 FIRO for a masternode yet want to earn rewards and participate in DeFi? Don't forget we have an Ethereum wrapped version of FIRO called stFIRO on Uniswap with almost 1 mil USD in liquidity! https://st.firo.org or you can also grab it from https://changenow.io/!

stFIRO automatically earns masternode rewards every day and can always be unwrapped to native FIRO on Stakehound https://onboarding.stakehound.com/#/register

Which is 0% if you run it on the rig.  Wink
If run on your PC, then I agree 100%

Hi, is this coin mineable on 3GB or 4GB cards these days? And using which miner (for the best speed)? Thanks!
There's a FIRO guide on mining in the OP and here's the link for that: https://firo.org/guide/how-to-mine-firo.html.
That guide doesn't say anything about minimum VRAM, which I think is a pretty gross omission.

Anyway, 3 or 4 GB cards won't work. The MTP scratchpad itself needs 4 GB and then you needs some for the rest of the program, so the total is about 4.5 GB. If you can find a 5 GB card that should work. 6 GB is plenty.

I recommend the official https://github.com/firoorg/ccminer as it is open source with no hidden fees. I haven't found a closed miner whose speed increase is worth the fee (and the risk of running untrusted software).

Data HDD Repair - Recovery of lost information
Beware of this update "Suspicious activity has been detected at XZC (FIRO) blockchain. 51% attack is possible. Payouts are stopped until the network stabilizes. The amount of block confirmations has been increased to 1000 new blocks."

As per 2Miners website GMT +8 2pm

2Miners removed this and similar warning for another coin. There is something to think about.

  It's not a 51% attack.
This is minus 51% of the coin's total network hashrate.
The new block chain starts block 338403 and ends block 338719.

Block Difficulty 338403 - 1107.1905512079
Block Difficulty 338719 - 956.86986116269

The difficulty of the latter must be higher.

Chainlocks activated on Firo. Why is it needed and how does it work?

Read about it more here: https://firo.org/2021/01/28/chainlocks-activated-mainnet.html

Nice work. I'm really late to the game and (unfortunately) discovered FIRO just 2 weeks ago by chance. Now I'm trying to mine some with 1 GPU (*cough*).

In the explanation link you provided, you state that
Quote
"we are proud to be the second project to implement it [Dash's chainlocks]"
I think Biblepay has implemented them for months now, if I'm not mistaken, so maybe you're not the only ones to do so. Wink

Keep up the good work!

send a transaction from core wallet, it defaulted to private balance.
Now it says transaction is offline (watch only?), cant re-broadcast (lelantus disabled atm) and cant find transaction id on the chain.
coins are gone.
Any suggestions?

just wait for lelantus to be re-enabled? abandon transaction?

There's a FIRO guide on mining in the OP and here's the link for that: https://firo.org/guide/how-to-mine-firo.html. Never knew FIRO was Zcoin until I saw it changes in Binance and CMC.

We have published a post mortem of the 51% attack on Firo and are also asking for users to weigh in on what should be done moving forward. Please let your voice be heard!

Not sure where he got the coins in the first place. Did he buy the coins, then convert 900K to other coins etc. ETH and withdraw that? So that he could execute his double spend attack and get the spent coins back in his wallet as if he had never spent them? Well thats brilliant. If u lock their address via fork, then that is a massive reduction in the supply. Price will skyrocket.
That was a brilliant move indeed, can't wait to see for more updates regarding this. I'm sure that attacker was totally in shocked and unluckily he didn't have that huge chance to anonymize the coins. Clap* Well done.
