I like the technology behind XZC, is it more anonymous than zcash? Zcash is too expensove, I don't like it. We need to go to buy more XZC, it is a cheap way to keep anonymous, and everyone can afford this.

ocminer,

1569 seems completely down but 1596 still is up... will 1596 be automatically switched or should we connect to 1569 instead?

Because its going to get really cold in the room if I leave it connected to 1569 since the miners will be in idle.

Well we got to block 20500 without some amd miner Huh Will the dev want to earn more with their nvidia cards or some private miner amd Huh? Reply to the dev community.
Miners just for some, not for others. Weird, this stance of yours.
Good luck with your currency.

~Full-Time Minter since 2016~
Hey, anyone have a bootstrap or just the blockchain uploaded somewhere?

Syncing is painfully slow.

i believe they said bootstrapping this wallet is currently not possible.  I had tried to upload my copy of all the files for another user and it just mugged up his whole wallet :/  (user said it's known btc-core issues tho that should have been fixed). Either way, i dont recommend it haha but you can find people in the #general working on the same thing maybe you can find what you need there Smiley

Will you be solo mining?

i will NOT be personally. i just prefer the security of pool mining, in that i dont have to worry about the stuff people have been fighting with for seemingly 2 weeks with this coin :/   the wallets has serious issues. they said they are working on it tho, just been "busy" idk, im not part of the project  just another miner so i cant say if their just fucking the dog on it or not ;p

Is this faster than the Djm miner?

OK, its all here now, separate source for linux (https://mega.nz/#!7FQWxJya!zgZCqjpeNzc_UZQYTcGz2rYogKwnlYu-1ILzKQdpSRY) included.
It can be compiled on windows too, striped everything, left only lyra2z algo, so it can't be used for anything else.

this is CPU miner, djm has GPU miner

Do you have any idea about hash rate on a Intel Celeron J1800? Since apparently gpu mining is pretty pointless. Edit: Never mind. Without optimized AMD miner I have no interest what so ever in this coin.

seems like it's gone full circle, the point of the algo swap was to make CPUs less efficient by adding GPUs, and yet an entire rig = 1 CPU. And no optimized AMD miners means only an exclusive group can mine it. hmmm EDIT: 1 rig = 2 CPUs, 1 Nvidia rig = 10 CPUs, it's a shite state of affairs at present but it may turn around, maybe even claymore will show his face?

Based on the cpu ratio between zcoin and lyra2v2, considering all things equal zcoin on cuda would be about half the
lyra2v2 hash rate on cuda. But it's orders of magnitude slower. Obviously all things are not equal. The zcoin memory matrix is still
many times larger than lyra2v2, though not nearly as large as before, as evidenced by the dramatic increase in hash rate
from the previous version. Maybe it's still too large for GPUs to mine efficiently.

I'm still not sure it was a wise decision to put so much effort into an interim solution.

ya its funny that the COIN DEVS can't code an 90% optimized miner for the algo THEY chose  Grin
