XZC has a very high volatility, one of the best on Bittrex. But it is better not to take risks with large purchases, and use 1/10 of deposit.

Hope poloniex would add it. This coin has great devs and a huge potential to be a Zcash cousin Smiley

I'm watching this price and I will buy some cheap coins when it's more down
I expect it will be back at 0.01 soon in new year.

You mean 0.001?

Have problem with blockchain solved? Price is again very high.

ues it's very very high! just down 90%+ from the top

I bought all my XZC at 40k, and for me it was good price to sell, which I did.

Buy low sell high!

I'll give a shot at mining and storing, let's see what happens in a few weeks just to bet Smiley

did anyone notice that XZC is listed on bitcoin.com forums.. one of only a few, monero litecoin dash... great support, as soon as people realize this is a zerocash competitor and a completely different code, not just a clone, the better.

According to the interview with Gary Le Zcoin does have a trusted setup.
That is true but the exploit would be immediately visible and the coins would become worthless. There is no incentive in the Zcoin ecosystem.

...Zeroknowledge coins require a "trusted set up". We need to be absolutely sure we can trust whoever set it up...

From the first paragraph of the Zcoin section:

Since monetary inflation of any kind would be detected immediately this also mitigates any trust issues during initial setup.

Just after the 30 minute mark or thereabouts.
Unless I missed something

Zcoin uses a number from the RSA factoring challenge from like 1991 as their trusted setup parameter (RSA has recently been revealed to be in bed with the NSA, but this was 20 years before that). For some reason Zcash requires a much more complex trusted setup that can't just be the product of two prime numbers, and so there was the whole Zooko and Peter Todd fiasco.

The other thing to consider is that the money supply is known in the case of Zcoin, so if someone managed to factor the RSA 2048 number and people noticed the money supply was bigger than expected, than Zcoin could just fork I think. With Zcash there is no way to no if someone is minting coins due to a flaw in the setup.

I am not a mathologist or cryptotician, take it with a grain of salt.

Why Zcoin could be the trade of the year.

Newcomers to Zcoin wondering what the fuss is about, please check out this article:

I hope XZC will be much better once MTP released. The dev is doing something new which is encouraging. This is not like most of the coins that devs don't do anything or they don't know what to do.

I'm having mixed results with each miner i have found.

The windows miner (posted a couple of posts up) reports me 22h/s on an i7-5820k running at 4.35 ghz, i have it running with 10 threads and reports ~2.2h/s / thread
Now, on my notebook, Core(TM) i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz, using ocminer's version, 0.22h/s per thread, 8 threads

What miner should i trust?? Any information is appreciated, thx!
