Is the 20% dev tax activated now? Are the addresses where those funds go public (without looking into the source code)? Devs hodling or dumping with miners?
has been from the start.
these addresses are available to view in any zcoin block explorer.
zcoin is just a clone of moneta, which was a clone of zerovert.
i'm guessing the original dev of zerovert (who does deserve props for actually writing the first coin to utilize libzerocoin) wasn't happy with the profit so he triple dipped.
roger ver is across 95% of this too; search his name and moneta/zerovert on google.
i've got to say guys, all of this can be discovered by exercising your personal right to think for yourself.
Depends how you describe 'clone'. Zerovert, Moneta/Zcoin are all by Poramin anyway.
Zerovert (closed source and had huge performance issues) and was rejected by the Vertcoin community. This was not investor backed and as a result he did not want his work to be cloned but it was a chicken and egg scenario since to gain credibility you need to opensource it. (

Moneta (never launched, it was launched as Zcoin).
So it's basically Zerovert > Moneta/Zcoin.
Roger Ver invested when it was named Moneta. When Moneta was launched it was launched as Zcoin.
The priority right now is to finish MTP development and build up our team. Poramin is a very hard working core dev as can be evidenced from the github progress although he is facing some serious family health matters which required him to be away for a week or so but his focus has to be on core dev, rather than the other supplementary portions which are also very important such as GUI, pool software and mining software which is why we are trying to outsource this work while looking for more devs to join us on board. We suspect this would only happen when people recognize that we're not a Zcash fork, that we're here to stay and that our team is serious in making this a long term project which time will be the judge of that.
Note we're only 2+ months old and launched with our core features in a working condition which is more that can be said about many other projects with much more substantial investments so that I believe speaks for itself in deciding whether our launch was rushed.
