If you are a Sync Whale or in the Profits program, then you already received the big news.

Assets, assets and more assets - value of one Sync just doubled again.

'Triple' is next with the 'Coming Soon' additions.

Enjoy your fresh net worth, buy more while you still can.

Great News. Keep it up. Once one of these sells and profits are paid out SYNC will sky rocket. Some people will be waiting on the sideline waiting to see the program wait. Of course unless by that time you will probably be to late for cheap SYNC.

Have any of the whales in here been asked for a btc addy for profit sharing distributi0n yet?

I just filled out the SYNC profit form. Figured why risk being left behind even though I am sure they would honor it if you were a whale and did sign up for the profit program.

So is Mscollec back as head developer of sync? Can someone tell me why I should trust your guys with my money with a guy who already has shown to be extremely unreliable? Serious question.

He is the PR guy form my understanding. SYNC foundation has been running this coin more then anything.

Are we using this thread now?

Some people want us to move back here. The community will decide.

I vote to return to this thread.  It has a wealth of information, and MsCollec has always been very present/active.

Not knocking Sovie at all... I just think an outside investor would rather see a thread with 500 pages.

Agreed here. Sovie and LT post a lot here anyway so there is no difference other then they do not control the OP.

I tried searching for this info, but this spec of SYNC appears to be hidden, I could not find it, so I hope someone here can answer:
I bought about 2 SYNC (and will buy more, money permitting) since I like to get interest from staking.
However, I have no idea *how much* reward staking is giving.
My 2 SYNC staked within a few hours from the min age of 6 hours, but only delivered 0.0012 SYNC reward.
Is this reward fixed or variable and what determines the size?
I understand the staking, Coin Control and splitting my 2 SYNC into multiple inputs,
since I have been active with ORB for a long time, which was the first coin with Staking rewards.
Calculating based on this one time event, SYNC pays a little less interest than ORB, so I need to decide where to go next.
I read in the SYNC spec that block reward is 0.14 SYNC but that is obviously not true for PoS blocks,
unless it has halved already so many times in the mean time that it now is at 0.0012?
Thanks for any pointers!

It was intended to be 1 % per annum (uncompounded, haven't calculated the compounded rate), but was raised to 100 percent for a time and is now stepping down back to 1% The time frame is here in the thread, but I don't recall it right now. I do know that we either just did or are just about to go to 50%. Without running a calc, you're return sounds about right.

hi guys, as pow Ends - the only way blockchain could move was by staking - but in the beginning there are not enough People that stake their coins - so it was decided to go to 100% staking - to interest more People in staking so the blockchain could move faster then we all know a slow coin is annoying

we often see this on btc - NOW a lot of People are staking and interested in this coin - BUT we should think about that every stake means MORE coins at the end - but we still want to have a rare coin to be divided from other coins (beside all the other Advantages this coin have)

so there was a decision to Change this high interest-rate that is no more needed - this lowering of the interest-rate is good PR in think - you have to get in there quick to paeticipate on the higher interest rate and thats what i read

People get busy in coming in ...

the first halving from 100 to 50 was at block block 86400, and after that every 43200 blocks which means about every 30 days but it is not linked to the days it is linked to the block

nice weekend

Ah, that clarifies.
Yeah, I believe we are about a week past the first halving of the reward, another 3 weeks or so to go at the half-rate.
Since it is designed to start at 100% per annum, does that mean that it is a fixed amount that halves every month, so that the size of the staking inputs will determine the frequency of staking and thereby the total reward over time?
The reward of 0.0012 after halving means it was 0.0024 which is about 1/400 so that means that 1 SYNC is expected to stake within a day? That sounds about right for what I saw my 2 SYNC do - generate a Stake block in approx 10 hours.
But that also means that ORB will be more profitable, since that is delivering around 150% interest in a year: 1 ORB per 20 ORB input, approx 10-15 days for staking.
Please confirm that the reward is a fixed amount per block.
Thanks!

If I remember right interest is now 50%/year and halves roughly every 30 days.
