I remember it was during the wallet rental period. I got a payout equal to roughly $40 in BTC for a few sync.

I got a payout or two way back when. Regardless though, Mike said on twitter it was not a sustainable plan and that's why he shut it down to regroup. He apologized for not communicating more as well.
