Is anyone else having problems connecting to the Sync network with their wallets? I've been disconnected for a few days now.
I have had 4 connections to the SYNC network for a long time and yesterday (Friday) my wallet was still up.
On Monday I can check it again and if interested, I can post another ZIP with the block chain, so you do not need to wait for hours to download it with the wallet, you can unzip it in the SYNC directory under AppData and be up and running in no time.
But that will have to wait till Monday...

If he has scammed us he's done a pretty shit job of it lol. If I lose I lose. If he comes through he comes through. It's a risky investment. Crypto is like a poker machine haha
Actually there are devs who do the right thing.
For example the MYR dev who made a mistake when he received the recovered MintPal back from Ferdous,
where the dev accidentally sent the MYR with a $10,000 transaction fee, losing almost all coins (which belonged to users of MintPal)
This is how the dev responded, to make sure that the Mintpal users received the MYR that was lost when Ryan (Alex Green) Kennedy
scammed Mintpal, but whatever is left is now retrieved from backup servers by Ferdous and distributed by the devs of the coins:

Good things to come perhaps. More investors need to retweet. Advertise the coin a little. Can't hurt.

I think the man lost his marbles, great trader though a natural... but this coin took a hit.. he needs to back it up some more and maybe merge with something else.. maybe.. domains/assets based crypto is a cool concept.. I only own 0.6 SYNC from like 8 month ago by mining when people went nuts

times are changing be careful

I guess he would have just kept the extra 20x money for himself if he had 'won'.
No, his statement was that he was trying to create a revenue stream,
which I think is very hard to do when trading crypto - it is more like a lottery
and similar to lottery, it is never guaranteed to pay out, it is only luck that you sometimes win,
but in the overall picture you always end up with less money in the end, that is why there are
companies making money running these kind of things.
Anyway - he seems to have genuinely wanted to boost payout for all renters (and himself of course)
but lost his 20x leverage position and thereby the money he put in.
As I said before - just like I do not expect anything more if he wins, I do not expect anything less if he loses,
because he has made a commitment to pay from the sale of domain names that are in the sync fund.
That was a big part of the value of SYNC and the reason that I and many others paid good money to get some.
Now he cannot just say that he had bad luck and ignore SYNC and essentially run away with the money that we invested in SYNC,
because then he might find himself at the receiving end of legal action.
It is simple: make a promise, keep a promise or face the consequences.
Mike, I suggest you do the right thing.

The money he lost was a sync rental payout lol. I don't care either way. He can make money by the sounds of it. Good luck to him. Sync might have a chance...

I'm not worried about SYNC's future. It's not like I have my house invested in it. And I still trust Mike to take it to the next level, even though he's been acting slightly loony the last weeks lol.
But I said previously, I don't expect any payout this time.
Well, I disagree.
Mike made a promise to do a SYNC rental payout once every rental period, which would have a lenght of between 1 and 90 days.
He then gambled (I have no other word for 20x leverage contracts) and lost his money,
but he still has this unfulfilled promise to us SYNC holders, to pay us a part of the sale of assets that he allocated to SYNC fund.
According to his tweet he has gained back almost all money he lost in his gamble (probably in the next gamble) so there should be
no reason that he won't pay out - unless he intends to break his word.
I cannot decide for him, I can only lay out the things that happened and promises made.
If Mike wants to make good on the promises that he voluntarily created, then he can still make a late payout to the rental,
or he can break his word and then I do not know what to expect for the future.
Since everything is public, it would be really easy to file this with Small Claims and there is 100% guarantee that it will be awarded,
there is no ambiguity in the promises that Mike made, that he would only pay out if he won in his gambling errr crypto investments.
It was simply dividing the sale of the domains that are in Sync fund and a sale has been made in that period, so it is crystal-clear.
The ball is in Mike's court.

Don't get me wrong. It's not like I don't care if he pays it or not... I obviously would like to get my BTC.
Plus rolling out payouts is important for more than just keeping his promise, it's also a testament to the coin itself and a proof that the system is still being put to work.
What I really wanted to say was just that this being crypto and all, I wouldn't be surprised if the payments wouldn't be rolled out.

Actually... What I'm more concerned is that he does pay it and I no longer have access to the BTC address linked to my Rental Account, but I can't change it either cause I haven't been able to get a single tweet back from Mike.

EDIT: Just got a hold of him.

Oh alright! That'd be great, but his tweet might be just about his own money, not SYNC's.
We'll see.
