ArcBlock solves these problems with a revolutionary new design. Unlike its predecessors, ArcBlock is a platform, not a separate software package or set of APIs. ArcBlock is a complete solution combining blockchain technology with Cloud Computing. ArcBlock is an incentive-oriented market for reusable services, components and even applications.

ArcBlock is a platform and an ecosystem for creating and deploying decentralized applications. The platform goes beyond providing the necessary basic components to use the blockchain for business rules. It connects your existing system to network blocking goals, which allows you to automate business processes using data and identifiers associated with existing systems. The main objective of ArcBlock is to remove barriers that have slowed the adoption of the block chain among the general public. We are also passionate about developing unique approaches that will significantly improve the development of detachments.

Singapore legislation - Commercial crimes

Quote
"Depending on offences revealed in the course of investigation, CAD also prosecutes offenders under other Acts such as Computer Misuse Act (Chapter 50A), Central Provident Fund Act (Chapter 36), National Registration Act (Chapter 201), etc"

https://www.police.gov.sg/resources/prevent-crime/commercial-crimes/legislation#content

Oke, let's see what's in there:

Quote
COMPUTER MISUSE AND CYBERSECURITY ACT (CHAPTER 50A)

PART II - OFFENCES

Access with intent to commit or facilitate commission of offence
4.—(1)  Any person who causes a computer to perform any function for the purpose of securing access to any program or data held in any computer with intent to commit an offence to which this section applies shall be guilty of an offence.
[21/98]
(2)  This section shall apply to an offence involving property, fraud, dishonesty or which causes bodily harm and which is punishable on conviction with imprisonment for a term of not less than 2 years.
[21/98]

even dishonesty lol

Quote
Laws of Singapore, Commercial Law, Ch.08 The Law of Contract

SECTION 10 MISREPRESENTATION

The Nature of the Representation

8.10.1 A contract which is induced by a misrepresentation may be set aside, and may give rise to an action for damages. A misrepresentation occurs when one party to a contract makes a false statement of fact to the other contracting party which induces the latter to enter into the contract.

Nice documented example of what's wrong here
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IJwBBI3GhbWXxRLr_WruvXbx3Ru-xZeIK8jNLCnEo5o/edit

And to get an impression of the deception going on. A reddit user claiming to be the ArcBlock CEO posts a page full of text, as an answer to the mystery surrounding the partnerships, but he forgot to answer the question.
https://www.reddit.com/r/arcblock/comments/7px6qy/why_arcblock_is_potentially_a_scam_they_kicked_me/

Oh and here's how they proof they are legit:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmLn9OUEMxw
(no offense to cryptolark, but his presence doesn't legitimize anything of course)

Their website is the direct source of this misinformation. The partnerships with IBM etc are unaltered since first update (see wayback archive):
http://www.arcblock.io

Registrar URL: http://www.key-systems.net (whois)

Some IP addressess ofAmazon/AWS came up via tracert/whois as well, though not sure what they have to do with it (hosting or something?), because they did not reply on email yet. Reported misuse to the email address provided by Amazon/AWS in the whois log.

ArcBlock company registers in Singapore:
https://www.sgpbusiness.com/company/Arcblock-Foundation-Ltd
https://www.uen.gov.sg (in maintenance atm)

ArcBlock registered service address in streetview:
https://www.instantstreetview.com/@1.295228,103.859114,5.69h,10.76p,1z
can't get in any further Cheesy

I think that Arcblock will be a successful project in the first year of 2018 by the following reasons:
+) recover bits of bitcoin and ethereum
+) Have strong development team
+) has a large community
What do you guys think about that???

I think this project is going to be the most successful.I am very interested in this ArcBlock project, and this week's Bounty program ends.So I wish all the ArcBlock developers to continue to do so in the future. And, in the future, we will always be with you.

From the white paper and other research, ArcBlock is the first blockchain to treat cloud service as node to enhanced performance and security. With this great move, ArcBlock becomes the de facto standard for future blockchain platform design, and being the first to implement this system, they will lead the path as technology moves to the next level. Using cloud nodes will also take decentralization to the next height...

Yeah... on the paper that is..

All I know right now is the following:

1. No tech has been developed yet. This means no product.
2. The ICO is not run on smart contract. Pretty rookie mistake for a project that claims to be capable of something like you write. This equals someone squatting down on your face to shit down your mouth, telling you everything will be ooooookay. Especially since you dont get a refund until 4(!?!) weeks later.
3. The admins on their Telegram channel are utterly braindead. They don't know prick from balls. People are completely left in the dark. They tell people not to contribute tomorrow (or today, depending on what part of the world you live in) if you can see the contribution bar is full. Well good job you fucking goon. 100.000 people will be executing their Eth transfer the moment the sale opens. The contribution bar will do no good at all.

This one is going to suck donkey balls. Unfortunately. I had high hopes when I whitelisted.

1. 80% is done for the first version.
2. There is a lot of legit ICOS with out smart contract.
3. Dont know nothing about this one.

Granted, there are a lot of legit ICO's without smart contract. However, none of these claim to be the technological game changer. ArcBlock does, which is why you at the very least can expect a smooth ICO with solid admins. If you tune in on Telegram tomorrow around launch time, I guarantee you that anarchy will rule the board. In hindsight this is not going to be a pretty sight, legit or not.

What is the deposit address that investors use to buy tokens?
You get that to your Arc Block account when the public sale starts. 7 hours and 39mins to go. Smiley

I watched the interview with Arcblock ICO Robert Mao in Youtube and I liked his approach, moreover I find him as a potential blockchain figure such as Da Hongfei in the future. You need to check the video on youtube guys, I am sure you will find some answers there you need

Ah, the left guy being the IBM representative of course. I finally understand.

Ok guys.

Just have to share a concern.
The ICO will not be run with smart contracts. This means that your Eth transfer will go through no matter if hardcap is reached or not. However, you will not get tokens in return if your transfer succeeds after hardcap is reached. Furthermore it will take up to four weeks to get your deposits back.

This is really ringing my alarm bells. You have an ICO that is supposed to be groundbreaking in crypto space, but running a well-greased ICO can't be done..

You seems to be right, anyway.
It's very strange to me also that a project in the crypto world sells ETH tokens for ICO without smart contracts.
Very strange, really.

Guys, there are any comments here from the Arcblock developers about this? Smart contracts give us the opportunity to monitor the collected funds and see how the ico process is going in real time.

Not only that. It allows you to get an instant refund if hardcap is reached. By doing it without this, there is no guarantee they won't just keep the money and disappear. They won't address this matter. They keep banning people on Telegram who are concerned / critical about this. It is going on as we speak if you wanna go to their Telegram channel and check it out for yourself.

I am hearing about this all time on facebook and on other social media then i decided to join and do reiteration there on the website but i dont know why they make registration much complicated by putting KYC. I have submitted my documents for KYC and after 7 days they have rejected my KYC, they have to make investment easier for investors as i am sure that they dont know about the id cards formats of all countries. so they have to make it easier instead of complication.
