I hope that the exchanges have learned something from this and from now on utleast they will check the coins' code thoroughly, before blindly adding them because of.. profit. What happened also hurt the reputation of the exchanges this coin was traded. This prior check can be done, yes? If so, why isn't it happening

CryptoSteam : in order to improve level of trust : first task = we need to professionally analyse Asiacoin wallet and prove there is no malware. Not being a coder - i have started asiacoin wallet 1.0.0.1  with 3 antivirus programs on set on  ,paranoic, level and found nothing ( one firewall blocked request of connection to some China address - but this address was listed as Vertcoin and Billioncoin node maybe legitimate request) .

bitsta is doing this. he said it has suspiscious hops in memory and direct datacommunication with TCP sockets but not like other coins...
and there is also a static addr he found on diffrent machines he set up to test.

he will make detail hex debug tomorrrow. he is pissed at the moment. maybe someone can motivate him
at #asiacoinproject. he was also the head to confirmed the scam. without his help we all wouldn't know this.....

If we can somehow fix this. I wouldn't mind marketing it again. Like the comment above we need some experience coders to help fix this. Maybe someone could contact some DEVs on this site?

Hi

This is the dev of Asiacoin. Thanks every much for your support at the
launch. Now Asiacoin are getting close to the end of POW stage. As the
plan,we will build multipool to support asiacoin. But after
some discussion,we think that we still need more multipools to support
asiacoin. Here is the plan: We still need 5 multipools,we will provide
50,000 AC as the bounty for each multipool and you can set the fee to
0%-3%.So if you're interested,please contact us.Many thanks!

How can this dev live with himself.

No one lives forever, he will not be happy to meet all those who he has scamed. Few dozen reincarnations in Africa and he will be nice like a shibe Grin

we also had some OPs of major exchanges on th line. and AC will never ever be listed again.

anyway. AC, AC2 or AC3 won't survive a single day. thats for sure.

If someone does resurrect the coin in good faith.. personally I think the Major exchanges, just out of good faith should support it.  They were unknowing accomplices to this scam.. truth be told.

Exchange operators took payments of BTC to get this scam listed.. made BTC off the trades.. so they lost nothing.. everyone who bought AC on their exchanges did.

So while they will likely not touch it again.. i think that is a shitty attitude to not even try and help..

But meh that's the crypto world, everyone is out for themselves, tbh.

asiacoin was the only coin which got listed so fast cause it got a load of votes.
not a single satoshi was paid for the voting on mintpal for AC.

This probably explains why my offer to setup Abe for AsiaCoin with the devs was ignored. I feel for all of you who have lost money here.

Dev said it was hacker attack. Just pure probability - there is much more hacker attacks than malevolent developers. I am not here to judge - this might be hacker attack. after blockchain is fixed Asiacoin IMHO restores easily

That is assuredly a lie at this point.  I am 100% sure this was a Dev scam from the start.

The proof is in the GetValue code, there was a deliberate attempt at obfuscating the premine in the code, from the start.  There is no doubt about that at this point.

micron thanks for your expertise ( from which I not much understand ) . but I am not bad in psychology : why dev said , 60 billion premine , when you all experts say it was 3.2 billion premine ? not going much into long reasoning into possible deep trickstery, this IMHO sounds as dev was somewhat badly informed. Another question: not being a coder : this line in code is very unique ? for instance peercoin does not have same line in code ? another question : as far as I understand such code is more or less open source. is it theoretically possible that someone modified this code ?

it was inside the getvaluewithtx function. they added an if-condition which used the modulo operator to substract the premined amount.
also the crawler on their website (theasiacoin.com) was edited. bitsta showd it to me how easy this is. just 1 line in php.

join the irc #asiacoinproject. there you ll find the coder who confirmed the scam and coded the explorer for me.
he can explain everything detailed. also the ONLY way to fix a premined coin.
