It's not good - at all. This means either the Dev copied the code from a known scam to hide a massive pre-mine OR he is the same person.

In any event, once the hidden pre-mine is found and confirmed by the exchanges, they will likely delist. Even the Dev himself urged people to quit trading. I'm not sure how anyone can chalk this off to FUD. The denial that bagholders have is amazing. They want to believe so bad they're willing to ignore all evidence that this is scam.

That includes the Dev deleting the source code from Github in order to cover his tracks. That is not the work of an honest person.

There are also 32 Mining Pools who supported this scam. They all have a copy of the code. So do the exchanges, who have been notified to check.

Wake up already people  Grin

boy the exchanges have frozen the ac exchange, you niubi, you go to sell your ac coin...

Yes exchanges are going to halt all trading of AC soon.

Thats a no brainer

We will wait and see between mintpal and cryptsy which one will halt trading first.  If they care for their users, they will halt trading and confirm the hidden premine exist or not.  My guess is they won't because they only care about raking in the fees.

I don't want to scare anyone here I just want you to do your homework. Myself and many others believe this is the same dev that created shacoin and scammed many people out of a lot of money. This coin seems it will grow bigger, and I hope it does for the sake of those invested, but please do your homework and research shacoin before you invest too much of your money.
I'm sorry this happened again. I know how you all feel. Because of the shacoin mess the guy that tried to take it over and fix it and found the premise started his own coin out of frustration of being scammed.  It is transparent and true. Zimstake, check it out or dont, buts it's a great community full of people tired of the scams.  Dev is great too.

When i look in the source code of asiacoin client i found this piece of code
Code:
Value ValueFromAmountWithFee(int64 amount)
{
    if(amount<=0 || amount >= MAX_TX_FEE * COIN)
{
amount = ( amount % (MAX_TX_FEE * COIN ) );
}
return (double)amount / (double)COIN;
}
It clearly seems to be there to hide the real amount of coins.
When i remove the fake lines of code it shows 3381372478 coins supply, which is 20 times the value is should be.

its crazy the amount of scams that is coming out these days.

I remember back when there was the visacoin scam that ran away with loads of bitcoins.
maybe he set up a company with that money to do exactly this, scams. lol.

its scary to think that there could be other coins with hidden coin supply that nobody checked.

Fuck ALL this shit!
I am going to watch the races this weekend and drink a beer.
Where the GREAT Doge Coin Community sponsored a Nascar racecar.
WoW a community that can actually do something besides ALL THE FUCKING DRAMA!!!
Say what you want but next year if you read this post just remember I took my 3btc investment in AC
And sold it for 1btc and bought 1 million more Doge coin. That will be worth 1000X what it is today.
See ya on the Moon!!!
By the way I just want to say READ THE BACKPOSTS --I WAS THE SOLE PERSON THAT DISCOVERED THERE WERE WAY TO MANY COINS SHOWING UP IN THE BLOCK EXPLORER!!! Sure I didn't know all the code etc. but a noob noticed something many of others SHOULD HAVE CAUGHT BEFORE IT GOT THIS FAR!!!

The new version is most likely going to fix the problem. I think the old version in layman's terms is reporting more coin then their should be with multiple duplications (that in reality do not exist). By removing those, it should be back to the correct number of coins.

Yes but how many coins did the Dev sell during all of this?

You can't tell me. He could have sold 2 - 3 -50 million coins?

You are fucking delusional mate

Listen, al least you have been here a while (so what comes from you I don't consider FUD). He doesn't have a lot if any coins. There was no premine. The code was removed because it's calculation of real coins was flawed, but not in the fact that anyone actually has/had them. If you were going to scam the coin, why would the dev settle for 1/1000th of what he could make - answer: he is not scamming the coin.
