The main page
With : 1.0.0-beta.2 came many changes to both UI and functionality of our platform. Today we are going to tell you about one of them - The main page.

The main page is a first thing you see on https://revain.org/.

At the center of the main page, there’s a conveniently-situated search-bar that allows you quickly search for the crypto projects or exchanges that you are interested in and skip straight to the reviews. Just under it, there are scroll buttons that give you access to the most important features. Note that you can also grab and drag it, instead of using right-left buttons, which makes this design much friendlier to touch screens and mobile devices. By using them you get access to the most important actions and features. For now, we’ve put a quick register there, but additional features will be added in the future.

On the second screen, there’s a widget with a selection of most recent and most valuable reviews. When the most valuable option is chosen, the 5 reviews which users found most helpful at the moment are shown instead of the latest ones. As the reviews on our platform tend to be rich with facts and quite lengthy, most of them won’t fit in the preview. There is a ‘show more’ to unfold the review.
The third screen contains only the most relevant information which best explains the concept of the innovative review platform we are creating.

I keep getting emails from Revain with updates on received feedback on my reviews... I don't want that or at least I want to choose how often I receive these emails.

Every day I get an email saying "These people find your review helpful:" and "no one finds your review unhelpful" ... that's great I guess but I can manually check it whenever I want anyway! I don't want to get emailed so often.

Personally I'm a cool guy, but I think not offering an unsubscribe button on your emails can get you into trouble, especially after the GDPR went into effect.

Someone with a good heart will strongly recommend you to study the white paper of this project. Explore the project website, its team, goals and objectives. Pay attention to the team's experience in developing web applications. Pay attention to the country of origin of the project.

Personally I don't know any other such platform and I'm happy with how this one works. However I feel sad reading people's reviews, makes me realize again why we're stuck on a bear market..so many uninformed people either hating a project or going all crazy and hyped on scams or dead projects.

I know a review platform that was being introduced before but it doesn't went well. I haven't read yet the Whitepaper and read all the comments on the thread. I have just scanned the overview of the project and I have learned that it is another review platform for good and services. What makes this platform different from others? Is there someone who has a good heart that will explain to me so that I can cope up with the updates for this project?

Any chance to allow the creation of new entries? I'd like to write a review for XDNA project but I didn't find it in the list... it's new so it makes sense but shouldn't the community be able to add new coins? Ofcourse some safety nets should exist to avoid spamming and trolling by people.

Welcome to another addition of Revain's "Feature of the Week". We are continuing to tell you about new features coming for Revain platform in the near future.

You may have already heard of our Proof-of-Reviewing feature. If not, basically, it provides you with a solid proof of the integrity of your review, and, in case it has been tampered, you have evidence to support your claim. There is one big catch to this, though. It's not exactly public as the review hash is sent to the author's email.
Introducing Proof-of-Existence
Here's how it works: the hash is being derived from review. All reviews that are left during a certain period of time are being collected into a block. Then another hash is being derived from a block. (This period can vary from 10 minutes to 24 hours but will most likely be about an hour or two). Thus, we are achieving the consistency of data volume regardless of the number of reviews left.
The resulting hash is being written into a public blockchain with a low probability of being compromised. We are going to start with Bitcoin's blockchain first, but we might add others along the way. In case one is compromised, which is highly unlikely, the others will bear true results. Thus, we let anyone willing to check a proof that a particular review has not been changed.
The Proof-of-Existence will be included in the upcoming v1.0 of the Revain platform.
