My fellow cryptonians, I have been following this initiative from day one and have been involved from various sides and angles in it's community.

One of the things that keeps surprising me is that so many of you are shouting against it, especially after it grows more each day. That somehow is understandable for most ignorant souls who don't understand the essence behind cryptocurrency, but most of the screechers here are all well informed, aren't you?

If you take some time to wrap your heads around the prophecy of this coin and it's dev, you might see it has quite a lot of potential to be an enormous boost in acceptance of crypto in general.

As I stated on the original forum, to me it's logical Balduro is not known to us and neither should he be. His only responsibility is to live up to his promise to deliver the 50% of coins to the airdrop. And so far, I haven't seen anything that makes me doubt his truthfulness. We can all follow the pre minded addresses.

You might argue that he enlisted his site trough Panama and hasn't come forth yet, but hey, If that makes you scared, sell all your Bitcoins now! Or do you have Satoshi Nakamoto's private number?

Let us be honest guys, the success or failure of this coin doesn't lie with it's dev, it lies with us! We are the community that has the ability to support, create and control it. That, my friends, is how Crypto works!

So, instead of complaining of a lack of detailed plan around the airdrop or any other shortcoming, start contributing to it's succes! You don't like Baldoro's plans so far or have any doubts? Fine! Come up with something we all can adopt and implement! I know for a fact, THAT is what Balduro wants as well!!!

I personally already invested over 3 BTC in this project (and not by buying AUR cheap, but really put up the cash to create it's success!) I also volunteer to fly over to Iceland to personally supervise or aid in the airdrop.

What will be your contribution to it, rather than pointless screeching?

Very well said!

Interesting that auroracoin is very similar to ZenithCoin

Auroracoin

Scrypt Algo
21 million total coins.
25 coins per block.
Coins mature after 100 blocks
Re-target every 8 blocks.
50% premined

Zenithcoin
Scrypt Algo
42 million total coins.
24 coins per block.
Coins mature after 120 blocks
Re-target every 9 blocks.
50% subsidy goes to developer redistribution (just need to figure out which population to re-distribute to)

So, there is 25 coins per block

how much time in between blocks? I couldn't find that data.

10 minutes, but with high difficulty and a retarget every 8 blocks there have been some whoppers lately. A couple of days ago it took over 3 hours to find a block.

KGW will probably make difficulty and therefore block generation more stable, but it's going to be a while before we hit that fork point.

If some Icelandic politicians were not coming out against Auroracoin, I would be worried.  The more such comments are made, the more likely the common man in Iceland will be to not only hear about Auroracoin, but to accept it.

I like that it has become big enough to make them nervous.

Very exciting!

Upgrading http://aur.scrypthp.com after next block to keep up with traffic increase.  Once we hit the next block we'll be adding additional CPU power, there will be 10 minutes of downtime and a stratum restart which may require miners to restart their miners.  We'll be having 0% fee for 24 hours after the maintenance as thanks and then returning to our normal 1% fee after that.  Thanks to all our miners!  http://aur.scrypthp.com

you can clearly see the coin is being HEAVILY manipulated atm...... but fools will follow into the slaughterhouse.

Yes, some BIG WHALES KEEPING THE PRICE DOWN so they can buy MORE!!1

But seriously, could you pumpers, speculators, and fudsters please start another thread for that zero-value crap.. a lot of people who are new to cryptos will be introduced to them through this coin and having to read pages and pages of that same bull worded just a bit differently is not going to get them excited of the whole crypto movement. They might even decide this kindergarten is not for them at all.
