I would guess that the people already versed with cryptos will claim their coins the first day. Then their friends and maybe families the next week. Then if the news remain positive, more and more people will claim theirs. If it will happen that way, then there is not going to be mass dumping on the exchanges. People will surely trade some of their AURs to BTC, which apparently has been a goal of the dev as well - to boost the crypto movement and allow Icelanders to trace outside Iceland.

Will some people please review the code and make sure the upcoming hard fork to KGW and the other adjustments were done correctly?

This coin is too valuable at this point to not make double, triple, and quadruple sure before going live with any changes.

The value of AUR doesn't need to come from "our" BTC wallets. As long as people trust that 1 AUR is worth $30 $50 it is just fine Wink

I'd rather the people think x AURs is worth a haircut, or a good meal in a restaurant, or shoveling snow out of your driveway. Then the fiat value can be whatever.

Come mine with us, I mine here personally its a great pool, I would like it to get a few more people tho so we can get down to 1 hour/block.

I refuse to use other pools because their connections are all intermittent and sites are junky.

Trust me once you mine here, you wont look back!

you can clearly see the coin is being HEAVILY manipulated atm...... but fools will follow into the slaughterhouse.

Yes, some BIG WHALES KEEPING THE PRICE DOWN so they can buy MORE!!1

But seriously, could you pumpers, speculators, and fudsters please start another thread for that zero-value crap.. a lot of people who are new to cryptos will be introduced to them through this coin and having to read pages and pages of that same bull worded just a bit differently is not going to get them excited of the whole crypto movement. They might even decide this kindergarten is not for them at all.

One man with a 50% premine = Risks so high that you have to be crazy to invest BTC in it. PANDA was going to be the next big thing - turned out to be a complete and utter scam where the coin is now worth 1 Satoshi with next to no volume.

There is no way Icelanders will suddenly all have $1000+ USD - it will not and cannot happen, that money has to come from somewhere and that somewhere is your BTC wallets.

The idea is really nice but it will be difficult to execute. And some kind of non profit organization would be much better to hold this 50% of AUR coins and taking care of distributing it than one man. Dev could be honest but someone can steal from him or he can die in car crash (sorry Dev but accidents happen).

you can clearly see the coin is being HEAVILY manipulated atm...... but fools will follow into the slaughterhouse.

There is  only human psychology involved, not deliberate manipulation. 99% of coins are locked up and can't be traded. Only few coins are available on exchange sites. People see the market value and change in last 24 hours, so they want to buy it. That in return increases the price even more and the cycle continues.

There is no manipulation but human psychology.

No one has enough coins (except the 10.5 million locked up) to crash the prices

The prices are not going to crash before March 25 -- and even then it will only happen if air drop is  a scam or very large percentage of icelanders claim the coins and immediately cash out.

Please explain how those 10.5 million coins are LOCKED UP
We need some kind of guarantee that the original poster will give the coins to everyone in iceland and not
keep them for himself or dump to crash prices(as you say)

Check it for yourself. Premine coins reside at below addresses.
