Dev ==> Baldur Óðinsson [pseudonym] referring to the Icelandic Viking Sagas
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDexDNn6vSMI know about registry but how they will validate that? How this proccess will be secure against ID fraud?
By "Airdrop blueprint", stage 1 will be 4 months, it is 122 days. So they need verificate 2 623 residents daily.
Why is dev shaddow man. Domain auroracoin.org is registered to WhoisGuard, Inc. in Panama. Why?
Well, it is an ambitious idea for sure. The WhoisGuard is not surprising though. With the intention of completely replacing the country's fiat, it is a good idea for the creators to not be known. Otherwise, they are a target.
Could not agree more Sharky. Very clever devs, preying on greed and stupidity like every other scam coin. I cannot fathom that anyone thinks that a country would replace its currency with a crypto. The infrastructure needed would be incredible and the government would never, never, never, allow it. And how would it deal in foreign exchange? Foreign direct investment? Everyone here thinks that a large % of the population is like us and reads forums and is on reddit when in reality it's a tiny %. What percentage of people in Iceland will actually hear of this coin or actually get their "airdrop"? If the "airdrop" even exists?
I wish I could short this coin. It will plummet so quickly.
In reality, this coin does not have to succeed in replacing Iceland's fiat currency. If it can garner interest by a large group of the population, and in turn give them an introduction into digital currencies as a whole through free coins (that, currently, they can actually trade for a decent amount of BTC and cash out into their native fiat if they so choose), then it will be a boon for the entire digital currency community. Everyone wins. The more people that become involved in digital currency, the closer we get to hitting the critical mass required to go mainstream.
