A scam haha,Losses

I don't think it's a scam.

Maybe a poorly thought out idea to bring forward PoS but now it's passed out of PoW and into pure PoS, it's seems to have resolved itself.

A few hours of PoS interest not being paid. A concern while it was happening but I've cold re-synced three of my wallets and they are running fine now.

Can't speak for anyone else.

Cool heads prevail.  Well done PiOfCube.

There has been a lot worse happen in the land of crypto... a great deal worse :-S

there was probably a fork at block 8640, a lot of pool owners and exchange admins helped out in sorting the situation in the dev's absence.
i'll post you the nodes, so we can follow the fork that seems to be the correct one, all of them ended up on the same blockhashes for every block, so it's safe to say that we can follow that fork safely.

i am redownloading the blockchain right now to confirm it myself, please be patient a few more minutes and i'll give you details

sooo………. i really don't have a lot of confidence here. panic dump at a -50% loss or hold?  It's basically forked at blocked 8640 right?   So unless the dev steps in its dead?

thank you FUDDERS.. got my AXIS up by 30% stack!

Fudders? the wallet was disable and the scammer devs dissappear, this coin is dead.

Or he's asleep.

Or he's busy.

Or he's trying to fix the issue.

Or... you know... Maybe he has a life.

P.S.... How would disabling the wallet benefit the developer?

why is axis disabled on bittrex?

Cause it's forked?
It's not forked.

Proof or cut it. Useless FUD.

CallMeAXIS can u properly explain what happened with bittrex? I have a lot of coins there too

Our wallet is stuck at 8640 like a lot of other people.  We disabled it so people don't try to withdrawal and then ask us why they dont' receive their coins.  Just like everyone else, we are awaiting for devs to help get us through this transition phase.

Thanks,

I closed the wallet while coins where staking. They never weren't.  Re downloaded wallet deleted everything but wallet.dat. The coins transactions are there and even the coin record but it say my coin balance is 0. no coins ever sent from the wallet. the coins never go out bound  in the history only that they arrived. Which is true but disappeared and are now gone for good. 1500 coins down the tubes. Don't close the wallet while they stake and re download the wallet. it will FUCK you out of your coins.

Any donation to get my hard mined coins back would help.     AT4aQbTQGKfkdqw53jpJCQTRsGoUfVYfFu        use this to to see what the block explorer says too.  BS

1.  Relax.  Your coins aren't gone as long as you have your wallet file.

2. Re-download the wallet
3. Back up your wallet.dat (copy it outside of %appdata%\Axis)
4. Delete everything inside %appdata%\Axis (yes your wallet included - you just made a backup and put it somewhere else)
5. create %appdata%\Axis\axis.conf and put this text in the file:

Code:
addnode=108.61.198.64
addnode=209.222.30.180

6. Save axis.conf and close it.
7.  Start the wallet and let it download the entire block chain (it will say 0 coins because this is a fresh wallet. Relax.  We're getting there.)
8.  Close the wallet.
9.  Replace %appdata%\Axis\wallet.dat with the backup you created in step 2.
10.  Open the wallet.
11.  Go to Help -> Debug Window, then click on "Console" and type "repairwallet" (no quotes).

12. Profit.

have you tried the repairwallet command?

of course keep the wallet.dat backed up, as long as you have that, you can always find your coins

In fact there is a massive Dump on bittrex.
It would be wise fo the dev to show up.
It's called panic dump. For a reason.
Not dev dumping.

I never mentioned that dev is dumping. Maybe I should clarify myself better, sorry for that.
I wanted to say that the dev should show up to calm down the stakeholders. Make things clear.

But:

In my opinion, when POS starts and POW ends, the dev has to check the thread more often so he can react quick when something is about to go wrong. What we have now.

Just a few of my thoughts and opinions.

Firstly, I have some BTC invested in Axis so, you can judge what I say with that in mind.

Just before launch, I read the pre-ann and thought I would give this coin a go. I started to mine it on a pool at launch and then looked at the code when it went on GitHub.

The source seemed decent enough, no "donation" addresses and scrapes/etc.

So, because of that, I compiled the wallet and added it to my dedicated wallet machine and rented some contractors to mine it and started to buy up the coin on Poloniex.

I must admit, I was under the impression that CallMeAXIS was the dev. My fault for such an assumption.

I would like to know what the reasoning was behind bringing the PoS forward as it seems to be this action which has caused the current problems.

Again, I am really busy doing work right now so haven't had a chance to scrutinise the code, but you can not change the PoS start block without also making accommodations for it in other segments of the source (such as transaction and block verification). I don't know if this has been done or not.

Now we know CallMeAXIS is not the dev, it would be good to know if the dev is a freelancer or an actual member of the team.
Is there an actual team or is it just CallMeAXIS? I'm not going to be screaming and trolling if it is just "one guy" but it would be nice to know.

I do think the current problem is a minor one but I am more concerned that there may have been a severe lack of thought in adopting the recent code changes.

This coin had given me great hope for crypto, but I must admit, I am a little concerned about Axis right now. More because of the image it is presenting for itself.

This current issue can be fixed, but some reasoned discussion of how this coin should move forward must be engaged in and in the spirit of the initial announcement regarding no stupid "anon" features, illegal foundations or "let's pretend" NPOs.

I would also, with great respect, request that we do, indeed, discuss this in a rational and respectful manner. It gets us nowhere to troll and any of those that do troll are obviously not interested in the coin anyway.

Thanks.
