I hope everyones doing well, haven't been on the forum much and haven't been paying attention to any troll box's for a couple weeks... so just wondering if I'm missing something?? did I hear something about a swap? or new wallet or something?
Cheers
All is well, yes. A new wallet is actively being worked on. No firm ETA as of now but, you can expect it soon. More details are in the forum. It will be an optional upgrade.
No, no swap nor any reason for one to take place.
Hope all is well with you also, cheers!
hi steve, after Mr. Sanders won indianna how does effect your coins now? I seen that suprnova will removed it, I'm just wondering if how can I mine now some berns as you remember how hard it was for me to complete the mining instruction sing suprnova and I don't have more money to buy it, is there any other ways to earn Berns? if there is I hope you can guide us and if possible. thanks steve. good luck.
Hi shintosai, I would guess that as Bernie mows down the remaining states that all have open primaries, it will have positive buy pressure on BERN. Yes, seeing suprnova close brings some sense of sadness. Suprnova was the first pool to add BERN. For that it has some sentimental value to BERN, and again, I thank OC for helping the project achieve the impressive nethash rates it has with his reliable pool.
But yes, you have options to continue mining BERN....
The first of these three pools will work in a similar fashion to how suprnova did and everything you learned in setting that up will apply in a very similar fashion: create account, setup worker(s), setup payout address, connect miner, ect. For this similar configuration reason, I recommend you switch to Akia. You will need to modify your miner configuration to match this new pool of course. Aika documents this well for you here:
https://aikapool.com/bern/index.php?page=gettingstartedTake note, you will be using a new host, port, worker name, and worker password. Your software you have been using will work fine.
The last two pools do not require any registration, you use your wallet address as a worker name. This does make it easier to setup initially but, is a slightly different process than the process you learned setting up mining with suprnova. Of course, both these pools also document this information on their websites which are linked above.
If you run into any problems, don't hesitate to ask. Even if I am away, the mining community is very helpful to new miners, as we have all been there.
Thanks for the wish of luck! I wish you the same with your new pool configuration!
