My other pool is http://wolongsucks.tk, the only one actually running. It's a small pool now since PND has kind of died off, but at one time was about 450MH, ran smoothly.

It's gonna be 1% fee with PPLNS payout system, and like my other pool we will do a weekly giveaway of approximately 25% of the pool's earnings. Ok. I just tried to buy some birds with these coins. But the people at the pet shop just looked at me funny. I don't want to alarm anyone, but I am beginning to believe that these coins are not actually exchangeable for birds.

So I now have a gabillion birdcoins. Well, not quite that many, but I have hit several blocks today. But what do I do with them? Print out the keys and frame it and hang it on the wall? Or is someone working on a marketplace? Or getting them on an exchange?

Unfortunately nobody will buy as long as you are sticking to your massive premine...make a giveaway of 200,000 coins each to 200 members and you can get supporters for the coin, otherwise this will be deadthey are paying for services in birdcoins ... pool, logo, block explorer... and I like this ...
I be leave they will have also some giveaway but I do support big amount for free, maybe for services yes.
1000 per address as free giveaway it is more a start, or maybe 5000 for first 100-200 address

1% premine is ok for services and modest giveaway. But 2% premine must pair with generous giveaway which stay in multiple block value for a single person. Look at digibyte or leafcoin. Massive giveaway is for alternetive sharing coins not only by minning and by tipping pool operators with millions of coins this will not get enough attention. Masses are needed to support the coin and masses wont suport for 1k- 10k coins which will never worth even 0.01 btc

I still go with idea that if they allocate 4-5 mil for giveaway will be fair
