OK, already join the slack room.

LOL, good luck with that. You are lucky if they answer you. They only reply to some mysterious participants, they ignore most of the crowd. I don't think this project can have a successful ICO when they clearly don't give a damn about their potential investors. I stopped waching this project.

Sorry, we are trying to answer for every post but sometimes we missed when we are too busy. Sorry again.

I'm out too - I believe in Boscoin but the ICO doesn't make financial sense especially since it is getting more expensive by the day.

If you want a successful ICO I would strongly recommend reducing the price since the Boscoin price is fixed and BTC keeps going up.

I agree that, but we don't know what will happen tomorrow. There was a huge fight of Segwit and BU only a month ago.
If we change the ratio with the Bitcoin fructuation, we can down the ratio 40,000: 1 to 30,000 :1 for example, if Bitcoin price is down ?
I think we can't. So is the opposite.

Made a calculation of approximate market share on $1000 USD investment, considering 500 million circulating coins (which will happen fairly quickly after the ICO) and the present BTC price. The market share gained from this investment is less than 0.0002%. A horrendous figure by all standards. I generally refuse to participate in ICO's that will not give me a 0.001% market share or better on an ICO.

I believe in the project, but it's so overpriced it's incredible. I will not invest in this ICO unless I'd get approximately 150000 boscoin for a $1000. I will rather wait for it's release on an exchange and then get my acceptable entry price. Because I'm sure that will happen. It will dump first thing.

If we follow your calculation, we can't make development budget. It means that even if you participate this project, your 150000 boscoin for a $1000 would be zero in the end. This is not good for all.

Following Boscoin. Sounds very interesting and joined bounty campaigns.

I think price should be reconsidered as BTC price is going crazy right now.

However, if my maths is correct... website says a total of 276,093,688.786 coins will be distributed....

276,093,688.786 / 40,000 = 6902.34221965 BTC

6902.34221965 x $1,500 (rough btc price) = 10353513.329475

So a $10.3 mil valuation? Doesn't sound too crazy for an ICO project like this.

Does BOS already pre-ico?

During the Pre-Sale ICO BOScoin was exchanged for 1 BTC = 47,000 BOS

But the BOS team said they never do pre-ico before.
Now i'm confused.

Please only refer to official BOScoin Slack rooms

Decrease sig bounty during the campaign? You fucking shady Koreans!

How? I remember it was $6,110 total since start. Where did you see decrease?

BitcoinTalk Signature & Avatar Campaign (Bounty Pool = 200,000BOS, i.e. approx US$6,110)

Sorry for the confusion,
As we had fewer applicants than expected.

Which is why we decreased the overall bounty cap,
and increased the bounty allocation per participant.

So you'll actually be getting more BOScoin
for the same amount of work.

=====

A more detailed explanation is below:

[INITIAL SIGNATURE/AVATAR BOUNTY CAMPAIGN]

Initial signature/avatar campaign was targeted at 600 applicants.
 - 100 Hero/Legendary;
 - 250 Senior/Full;
 - 150 Member;
 - 100 Jr Members.

Stakes were being allocated with the split:
 - 10 Hero/Legendary;
 - 7.5 Senior/Full;
 - 5 Member;
 - 2.5 Jr Members.

In accordance a uniform allocation, the following of the total bounty would be allocated:
 - 40% Hero/Legendary;
 - 30% Senior/Full;
 - 20% Member;
 - 10% Jr Members.

Following this, the below BOS would be received per applicant for the total duration of the ICO (at the time of bounty advertisement):
 - 2064.516BOS (≈US$53.36) Hero/Legendary;
 - 1548.387 (≈US$40.02) Senior/Full;
 - 1032.258 (≈US$26.68) Member;
 - 516.129(≈US$13.34) Jr Members.

=====

[UPDATE 01 SIGNATURE/AVATAR BOUNTY CAMPAIGN]
Allocation update:
 - Reduced applicant target by 33.33%:
   - 33.33 Hero/Legendary;
   - 83.33 Senior/Full;
   - 50 Member;
   - 33.33 Jr. Member.

Allocation by a weekly BOS token offering (independent of applicants):
   - 400BOS (≈US$12.22/wk) Hero/Legendary;
   - 350BOS (≈US$10.69/wk)Senior/Full;
   - 250BOS (≈US$7.64/wk)Member;
   - 150BOS Jr. Member.

Following this, the below BOS would be received per applicant for the total duration of the ICO (at the time of bounty advertisement):
 - 4800BOS (≈US$146.64) Hero/Legendary;
 - 4200 (≈US$128.31) Senior/Full;
 - 3000 (≈US$91.65) Member;
 - 2400 (≈US$73.32) Jr Members.

Summary
Applicants are modelled to receive more BOS.

=====

[UPDATE 02 SIGNATURE/AVATAR BOUNTY CAMPAIGN]
Only change to Bounty Campaign Cap only (reduction to 25%) - but applicants receive the same amount of BOS.

Summary
 - Reduced cap for ICO Dashboard Subscription campaign;
 - Current applicants unaffected;
 - Only affects a cap on future applicants, however bounty is still available for current applicant growth rate;
 - Availability to allocate more bounty to reward additional applicants, but would need further analysis.

=====

[UPDATE LOG]
- Initial signature campaign was targeted at 600 applicants; the current signature campaign is targeted at 200 application.
 - Update 01 reduced the target and changes the bounty allocation method, but applicants would receive more BOS (if the model was still met)
- Update 02 (latest update and current campaign) only reduced the total cap, but not the bounty on offer per applicant. This only affects the number of future applications, but we may be able to allocate more bounty to reward additional applicants.

The greatest problem I see with this ICO (provided it is actually legitimate) is that it pegs the amount of coins you recieve to BTC, which is quite volatile. Other projects often peg it to the USD, although they accept payment in BTC.

Currently the price of the coins during the ICO are rising like crazy and it is becoming way less interesting to join in on the project.

It would be relatively easy to peg boscoin to USD and still only accept payment in BTC.

You can easily contribute a smaller amount of Bitcoin.
The minimum contribution amount is 0.01 BTC

That is true and was also not my point.

But the price is pegged as such: 1BTC = 40000 Boscoins recieved.

My point is that when 1 BTC was worth $800 each boscoin was way more reasonably priced than now, as it currently costs over $1400 for 1 BTC.

If the price was pegged in USD, but paid in BTC, the investment costs during the ICO would have been pretty much the same no matter if BTC costs $800 or $1400.

Market share is the only measure of relative wealth in a market and if you want to make this a coin for everybody, being greedy during the ICO is not the way to go.
