i was working with the current project from someone on upwork, to my surprise i also saw this boscoin there trying to hire someone who can promote the coin. with the kind of coin supply, its going to scam ppeople here in the forum. i think OP is from upwork too.
Is that true?

Since that announced, I got interest in this coin! But the amount of 10 Billion's justified why? Simply for practicality? So the BOScoin mission isn't to be the new Bitcoin (Gold) but the new currency (Fiat)!?

I think it's a lot too. But a lot of the coins will be locked up in full nodes. I believe it cost 40k to run a full node and you have to run a full node to be a member of Congress. A lot of other perks for running a full node.

Also I think it was stated most of the coins will be locked in the commons fund.

So the circulating supply will go down as more join Congress and who wouldn't want to join Congress? haha

I have a question about milestone m4. "Blockchain backup & restore using ISP (AWS, Azure and Google)".

Could you expand on the above? What does this mean?

9000+ btc is a massive target for Pre-sale + ICO. how are you planning to spend these funds? how did you come up with this target?

Edit: considering 1 btc = min. 45,000 boscoin in pre-sale (28.9% of 500 Mil) and assuming minimum value in ICO (53.1% of 500 Mil) will be greater than or equal to at least 0.00002222 sat based on pre-sale coins.

Is Web Ontology Language (OWL) non-turing complete?

EDIT:

OMG I just watched the youtube video meetup and BOS is turing incomplete!!!!! This is huge!!!

Thanks kjn311,

Just to add a little more of information, yes you got it right. The trust contract is not Turing-complete, but decidable. We are not trying to make a digital contract that could run any program, but rather we are more focused on trust and reliability of digital contracts. We will be expanding our contracts to be programmable ones later on, but we are more focused on building the trust first.   Cheesy

How does future scalability for your blockchain work?

Could you clarify your question, please? I'm assuming you are asking about the decision making process, but just wanted to make sure if I get it right.  Smiley

I wondering if BOS will face the same issues as BTC in the future, issues over the blockchain scaling to handle transactions?

It's all about making a decision that people agree. To reach that goal, node operators should be able to discuss an issue and agree on one decision. BOScoin has the Congress system where people can make decisions with certain rules. People will be trained as they are making more decisions and we believe that the Congress will eventually be able to handle all problems and issues including scaling the blockchain.

Based off the whitepaper, the Congress system seems like a good way to avoid a lot of the chaos that tends to surround cryptocurrency management.  Decisions effect multiple levels of the blockchain, from the scaling to the transactions themselves.  It seems like it will be an extremely powerful system.  Likewise, as I stated above, it seems to add the capability to truly create communities around BOScoin that have direct influence on the chain.

There are incentives for nodes to operate in the best interest of the system.  However, according to the whitepaper these incentives can be changed as well which means BOScoin has a shifting game theory that I don't think we've seen ever.  Also seems like a more organic solution than miner fees for insuring the lifespan of the system.  I was wondering if the system has a 'benevolent dictator' that can overrule a decision or is the congress truly democratic?  Secondly, do people believe that one or the other is superior?  We can vote on that... Grin

For your first question, there will not be any kind of dictator that can overrule the trust contract. If so, the contract will not be trusted. Once a decision is made, the decision is made.

And for your second question, I don't quite get what you are asking. Could you clarify your question, please? Smiley

Very interesting project, trying to solve the governance issue
How does your project compare to Cosmos and to Tau chain (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/tau-chain-and-agoras-official-thread-generalized-p2p-network-950309)

Dev,
Any comments.
Thanks

Thank you. We published an article about governance feature of several blockchains including BOScoin.
https://medium.com/boscoin/how-to-solve-consensus-conflicts-in-blockchain-661982f466c3#.oiw8cyksp

And Cosmos is a project to make the internet of blockchains. It focused on interoperability between blockchains. We are trying to build new concept of smart contracts platform that can make Dapps which have decidability and human readable contracts with the integration of OWL and TAL technology.

Tau chain also use OWL but we think there is some difference between Tau and BOScoin. We suggest OWL and TAL which can be compared with the relation between HTML and Javascript. HTML defines the view of data and javascript defines the function of data. TAL is an abbreviation of Timed Automata Language that is being developed by our Devs, which can give the the decidability. With OWL we can define precise relations between the data and with TAL we can check if the Dapp works properly before it runs on blockchain. This will prevent the the incident like DAO.
