If I knew I would have to wait 6/7 months to get some return from Investments... I wouldn't have invested!

Anyone is sadden by this update?

I guess it's better than nothing... It's a xmas miracle we finally have time table.

Let's hope they deliver and maybe I will be confident enough to double down on the second IPO

Are you actually planing to have a booth at the CES Show in Las Vegas ?

IMO, that will be a waste of resources, given the huge number of other exhibitors... I just don't want your efforts to go unnoticed.

Unless there's a dedicated area at the Vegas CES Show to Fantasy Sports or Poker where Breakout Gaming would really stick out and be noticed among other gaming companies, then exhibiting would make perfect sense.

I 100% agree.  We won't have a booth at CES.  There's going to be a lot of media there and we're trying to get a demo ready to show some print publications with the help of Michael Terpin's and his PR company (http://transform.pr/) who is working with us.  With developers taking time off over the holidays, it's going to be tight but hopefully we'll be able to at least have poker and casino products to show to publication representatives.

So that means that once the second ICO is finished, it will take up to 90 days to finish the wallet implementation for bro specifically?
yes. remember, originally pob was not going to start until 2 years after coin launch. Now that pob  starts at launch, all that needs to be fully implimented and stress tested. It's the only thing that secures the coin.

Thank you for your candid and honest estimates.

Thanks for the update.  As I understand, this is new blockchain technology that is not yet in use.  Once the ICO completes, how long until we see a functioning "coin"?
yes. the consensus algorithm is new, but there have been public white papers describing its details. also at least one other project (fantasybits)  is supposed be using a similar consensus algorithm (proof-of-skill). so its possible that there will already be an implementation that can be cloned by the time the second ico finishes. if not, its a 30-90 day project for a competent developer working full time.

Hi Guys, Just want to give some transparency on the state of the coin/wallet development.

My name is Jay Berg, im a developer with 20 years experience. Breakout Gaming originally hired me as a consultant over the summer to design the coin and help with fantasy sports. As I got more invoked in the project, I also ended up coding and managing the coin sale javascript webapp.

Breakout Gaming was originally hoping to raise 7 to 15 thousand BTCs in ICO, with a minimum of 1000 to move forward. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.9250315

This obviously did not materialize, and the target was changed to 700 btcs. It quickly became evident that the large investors were looking to see full working demos of the gaming products before purchasing large amounts of coins. This is when the announcement was made regarding a second ICO.

As I understand it, the funds from the first ICO was to be mostly used to finish the development of the gaming platform for the purpose of providing the aforementioned demos. There is supposed to be a second ICO, after the gaming platform demos are completed with positive feedback.

As of today, as far as I know, there have been no resources or bounties allocated to the coin/wallet development. Due to fact that less than 400 BTCs were raised in the ICO, almost all of the resources have gone towards gaming platform development.

Just like all of you, I am waiting and watching for the demos. I have no purview to this development effort or the current status. Hopefully all goes well with this effort and with the second ICO. With a successful second ICO, hopefully breakout gaming will provide the necessary resources to complete the coin and wallets.

Some more insight into this project:
  • the breakout gaming "devs" running the project are not software developers themselves, rather they have hired and are activity managing multiple teams of competent developers for the various gaming products.
  • this is not a scam, real good faith efforts and money have been, and continue to be, spent by breakout gaming towards this project.
  • the breakout coin "dev" (myself), is on stand-by until the second ICO.
  • exodus wallet and funds from the first coin sale are controlled by breakout gaming "devs" , who allocated resources to the various projects.

Breakout Gaming will be be accepting BROs and fiat

Can you deposit BRO and withdraw FIAT?

I hope not. I don't want to see BreakoutGaming turn into an exchange. They should leave Fiat withdraw headaches to exchanges like Coinbase & Circle.

Its always been said that there will be an in game (lobby) exchange. I think it will be very good for the coin. Easy for new crypto peeps etc. etc.

I stepped away from this thread due to the idiotic amount of FUD (mostly from the same person). I'm glad to take a peek and notice that the atmosphere has done a complete 180 flip.

Seems like a lot of great work is being handled behind the scenes. Do your thing BRO staff. The community is behind you guys every step of the way.

Thank you so much for your support!

There are 3rd party payment processors that will accept credit cards, neteller, skrill, or whatever the player prefers.  A player that knows nothing about cryptocurrency can buy in like any other real money gaming site and not even care that the chips he purchased are denominated in BRO (100 BRO chips = 1 BRO).  We will then take that cash and buy BRO at the market price so that all chips in play are always backed by BRO 100%.  No fractional reserve here.

Other than withdrawing into a credit card being capped at what you deposited, how you withdraw your balance will only be limited by the payment processors.  For the most part, withdrawing into your skrill, wire, or neteller should be fine. (Complete payment processor list yet to be finalized).

That's pretty genius.

BRO price will not be affected much by the ups and downs in Bitcoin rate.

So the troll is gone, anyone here ? Smiley

Do Breakout Gaming will only accept crypto or they will accept crypto and fiat ?

IIRC they will be accepting fiat. TBH it would make no sense for them not to.

They did say that their chips will be backed by BRO though.

Accepting FIAT is going to add MASSIVE buy support for BRO.

No doubt, this thing is gonna grow 100 times at least.
