Think with your brain. It is not illegal (yet).
I got some issue with my wallet need your advice.

Initially, I choose desktop one of the folder as a location for all the backups and to install wallet. But yesterday, when I was opening wallet by mistake, choose the location as a default location and wallet started synchronising from the day one but after all complete, I don't see my coins in my wallet.

Need your advice to recover back my coins. I have an old backup wallet.dat file.

Thanks for your help.
start your wallet by + then type "bitsend-qt -choosedatadir" and click (or press ). You'll be able to choose the previous data dir that contains your wallet and the most recently synchronized copy of the BSD blockchain.

Thanks for your information but didn't understand where a need to type "+"? I didn't understand this part. Please help on this.

I usually double click bitsend-qt file to open bitsend wallet. Thank you.
+ means to press the "windows"/"orb" key on the keyboard and (while keeping it pressed) press the key (also on the keyboard). That will open a "run program" box where you can type the "bitsend-qt -choosedatadir" text then click or press the key...
An alternative solution would be to right-click on the "bitsend-qt" file and choose "Send to" -> "Desktop (create shortcut)", then right-click on the newly created shortcut, select "Properties"  and append " -choosedatadir" at the end the command field. After that you can double-click on the shortcut...

I have the strange feeling that I'm teaching somebody to operate a computer...

Thank you very much. I will try now.

It didn't work.

It say windows can't find bitsend-qt. But this folder is on my desktop.

I lost all my coins until now what I collected. Please help on this.

Edit - issue solved. Thanks
Generally speaking, "the path" is crucial... in life and in IT Smiley
Congrats. Your brain is happier and your wallet heavier Cheesy (Just don't dump.)

I've joined on telegram, but it appears empty at the moment.  I'll check back later.  If I wanted to just move the wallet from the laptop that won't connect to the working one, is it just as simple as replacing the wallet.dat file with the backed up one from the bad wallet and then doing a -rescan?
I dont think rescan is necessary.
Have not seen you on telegram, by the way.

I do appreciate all of the tips and assistance with trying to figure out my broken wallet, but I've decided for now to leave it be.  I have one laptop that it's working fine on, so not a big deal.  I may revisit it another time and see if I can pinpoint the issue.

For a couple of days my wallet keep saying: Warning: unknown new rules activated (version bit 0). I'm running bitsend Core version v0.14.0.3-unk (32-bit) on w10 64 bit.
No issues of any kind with synchronizing, sending or receiving, all looks good. Is there a new version of the wallet that I'm not aware of?

Yes, download the latest version

Seems to be stuck below $1 USD. Will it go up? Smiley

I hope it will go up, but i think with a rising bitcoin prize it is very hard for an altcoin to rise in price. Maybe when the bitcoin prize stabalize, bitsend prize will go up. Crossing my fingers for that. Smiley

I think this coin is a bit of a hidden gem to mine. I get a decent daily $ rate (not that I'm selling) on a single 1080ti, and if I dial it back just a little bit, maybe 15%, I don't even notice it. I sit and work all day at my PC and it mines away.

Thanks, that works. I can now send Bitsend from a specific source address. No need to install multiple wallets to split private and business income.
You can also split masternode rewards via donationaddress.
It works fine.

Hi
I have problem, 11/17/2017 I sent 43 BSD to Bittrex but that transaction is still unconfirmed
transaction id:  56a73beb2332722a54dfa54eecbcb28c42322364a080812dc463015194256670
I install new wallet ,and also 11/20/2017 I receive 10BSD and that is in my wallet, but not show in my balance.
When I open old wallet that 10 BSd there but 43 BSD there to not confirmed, what I do?

I newest wallet under transaction tab try right click on uncorfirmed transaction and select abandon transaction. I think this will release this transaction.

Yes working, Thank you..Can I try send again with this new or with old wallet?

In new wallet of course.
