Hi!
Please, help me!
Is it clear way to import BSD private key from paper wallet?
Thanks in advance!

It is easy. Just like you do it with the bitcoin client.

1- Ctrl+C your private key
2- Open the Bitsend Client
3- Open the console
4- Type:
Code:
importprivkey "Ctrl+V your priv key here"
(delete the ")
5- Let the BSD client get in sync.

it locks the 25000 so you dont spend mn collateral by accident and close mn

you must unlock every time start node

Yes, this is true. 25k bsd get locked to prevent unwanted spending and masternode disabling, unfortunately this lock also prevent masternode alias start. So to start a masternode alias you first need to unlock the collateral funds.

This thing wasn't reported in any of the guides i read about bsd masternodes, so it spent a lot of time trying to figure out what was the problem that was blocking my masternode start.

Hope this info could be useful to someone else.

I got problems with "my masternodes" tab in bitsend local windows wallet.

I configured the masternode.conf file with masternode outputs datails but the "my masternodes" tab stay always empty, even after restarting the wallet. Also tried to start masternode alias directly from the debug console but i get "could not allocate vin" (funds are correctly there, and i sent exactly 25k in masternode address).

It's on a fresh installed windows 10 virtualbox machine. The wallet works fine sending and receiving transactions. Am i missing some prerequisites for masternodes hot-cold wallet style operations?

Any hints?

Thanks

EDIT: problem solved! For some unknown reason the wallet was locking my funds after the configuration of masternode.conf. Disabling the lock from coin input selection did the trick Smiley

It's weird. I think your MN collateral funds needs to be locked. so it is on all mine masternodes. Funds going to be locked to avoid accidentally spend. although if everything works do not touch anything  Cheesy

.....

It's not a stupid question, better to ask than to run out of your money.
where you lease the VPS server? do you have any feedback from there, uptime, speed etc ...

Still have to choose a vps service... probably i will go for vultr as now there is a promotion to get 50 dollars credit free for new users.

I'm also curious about the nodehub.io service... maybe i'll give a try as it seems faster than putting up a full vps.

I am using Vultr and I must recommend this service. I can't remember when they were offline, he accepts BTC as payments.
I am not sure for a bonus of $50, I got some bonuses from promoting his service on my social media.

it made me very happy to read a tweet about Bitsend since long time , it is not much but at least there are more people who still have some believe in BSD

Thanks. The one on github seems official.

What i don't understand is this: what if someone else get my masternode genkey? Could he stole my coins? Is this masternode genkey exactly as an address private key?

I'm wondering this because if this is the case, i need to put full trust in the company who could rent me vps.... i don't like it.

Genkey and private key are not the same.
If someone gets your genkey, he can't touch your collateral (if you use cold MN setup). Maximum what they can to do is to control your node and take your MN payouts.

Thanks examplens. Now it's clear.

Sorry for the stupid question... It's my first time playing with masternodes.

All alt coins are in survival mode, price is pretty much irrelevant for bag holders, if BSD survives it can come back, i have no doubt about that.

BTC dominance is like the meteor that killed the dinosaurs, the big guys will get vaporised,  some of the smaller creatures can survive. BSD has the best distribution in the cryptosphere, and a large community still, we Just need to survive long enough for BTC dominance to peak.
that is a very heavy explanation mate , hell  i like that , but i am still holding all the BSD form weekly airdrop , and you are very right , we all have to stand strong and survive , till better times come , which will come after the meteoor come for the second time

Sorry, I can't answer your questions either. I don't know much about masternodes. I think yes, it is the same as a private key, but i found not enough information to confirm it.
For a quick answer, ask in the BSD telegram channel, there you can get certainly a answer for your questions.  https://t.me/BSD_Bitsend   Smiley

First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold
I changed the airdrop address in the past. Did it just contacting limx dev and asking for.

Anyhow i think airdrop is finished.

Airdrop is over but still, I keep getting small amounts to this address regularly from same airdrop address, exactly as Limx Dev told us at the end of the airdrop, that he would send from time to time couple of free coins to old participants.

...I need to change the address for the airdrops, how can I do it?

I assume the only way to get this done right now is to contact the Lix Dev or somebody from the team and try to explain this situation and ask for help.

You know that one should never use an exchange address or any others not belonging to him for airdrops or bounties "not your keys not your money" is the golden rule.

Still, try to contact the team and maybe they will help you, there is no other way.

PS
When you will be talking to the Bitsend team remind them, please, that the community is waiting for in Bitcointalk forum for news and updates  Wink.
