I think MN should reward those who get in early and I also think that with the ability to use the MNs to augment the network through routines is something that should be supported by people willing to stake significantly in a network system. Just my thoughts.
A governance model with masternode voting is not out of the question. However, if I were to put an estimate on something like that I'd say that we would be looking at Q3-Q4 2018 or later. The next update will make BSD superior to the existing masternode coins.

Exactly. Most coins are about taking a chance, but only a small percentage of coins do not get abandoned after so much time.I also agree that amount for a masternode should increase.
People who request changes such as "reduce it to XXX" do not understand cryptocurrencies at all. Something that changes the underlying consensus rules requires a hard fork, which itself requires consensus to avoid a split. A currency in which changes can be forced upon the participants is worthless. We may attempt to gather consensus for some changes, but there certainly won't be anything forced (thus we can't "just reduce it to X or just increase it to Y either").I realize that. Having an exchange that converts crypto directly to fiat list BSD would be a wonderful plus for this coin I think. Cutting out that extra step in the exchange process is very very appealing in my humble opinion.

I second that. It can do wonders for the coin. Legit too (I used it with another coin listed there.. and I got my fiat in less than 48h, most of the time(s) in less than 24h). Does BSD have a URL for current masternodes? Similar to this one
