The news of Limx Dev's Perma ban offense me a Lil bit, as right around a year I'm here receiving the Bitsend airdrop. I liked the Limx Dev' threads, his weekly airdrop overview so I'm interested to hear explanation behind the ban. I feel sorry about Limx Dev. I wish this issue might figure out.

Blame it to the overzealous overlords here on Bitcointalk. They may be drunk on power, disregarding the seniority and history, just to be able to ban old, yet active accounts

Maybe power tripping or so. We don't know the real story here. I just wish the ban for Limx Dev account is only temporary. Honestly, I look up to this user because of the integrity he already built in this forum.

So what is the solution?

And when we get some news about updates and the future plans?

I am not sure what is the real reason for this ban, still, I hope that is only temporary ban and we will see Limx dev here again. They need here to manage ANN thread. It is a high skill person here, and we can't lose people like him.

That's really too bad. Hopefully the ban will be lifted and he can post again with his account. I can live without the weekly airdrop overview, but if Limx Dev has to leave the forum, something would be missing here.  Cry

after so many years of crypto, lots of hacked/scam exit exchanges, I am surprised that people have not learned that those services are not best to store their coins.
I have not joined crypto for too long, less than 2 years, but I learned a lot from hacks.
Personally, I always stored all kinds of coins (if possible) in local wallets (on my computers, from desktop to laptops), and even back up private keys or seeds on different safe locations for later use.
Only send coins to exchanges when I see reasons to sell them, and will make quick withdrawals after selling orders filled up.
It is very risky to put all your money on exchanges. Even big, reliable exchanges can be hacked someday. Hackers are so smart, and always figure out ways to hack money.

That's totally right and wise choice, but still that doesn't fit crypto trader needs. most of crypto users nowadays are traders for quick profit.

Who would have thought that cryptopia will be hack this 2019 Cheesy and this is my first hack experience and 100% surely will be the last. I just bought myself a trezor hardware wallet since i don't have enough bandwidth that is required in running & syncing a full node desktop wallet.

It is not about choosing the safe exchange anymore. There is none.

It doesn't matter if it is cryptopia, bitfinex, binance or coinbase you have been using. Every exchange can be hacked and when it does there won't be anybody who's going to save your coins for you.

I thought btc-e as the safest exchange out there but, apparently it wasn't.

Use exchanges only when the day you get in crypto and the day you get out.

Even then you can still get caught up with this shitstorm. I know some unlucky people like that.

The best thing you can do is creating your own priv key from BSD core wallet. And collect your coins there.

Bitsend, with its year-lasting airdrops, reminds me about Stellar.
Years ago, Stellar team decided to give away massive Stellar coins to community.
Most of receivers though it is trash.
Another case is XRB, now is NANO, yeap some day trash has become great.
I believe that someday, Bitsend will become great, when all rounds of airdrops finished.
Even it won't become great, current cheap price of BSD deserves to make investment.

Exactly, and it will also be so for Bitsend; great team, great community, present in all major exchanges; when the market starts again a Bitsend node will be worth gold and many will despair because they have not believed and bought now.

I do agree with you, Bitsend has a great team, great community, present in all major exchanges Bittrex etc..
moreover Bitsend team continues to improve BSD core with last cryptocurrencies tech as well as add BSD to more exchanges and cryptocurrencies services.

Bitsend is dead as BTX ..DEVs projects with no future...DEVs lead Christ act like Christ among devs

Correct and they will stay dead until they bring something new and exiting to the crypto space! Until then Bitsend is just another masternode coin with no real value..

Interesting point. What do you think that Bitsend has to offer technically that is special like NANO and Stellar?
