I imagine it might be perceived by the market as a catalyst to move up, as it'll mean less available supply on the market.

I just got 4 x 20 rewards in under 6 hours.. That's a first, but they seem legit (can see them in the explorer).

how to view masternodes count
through wallet: open bitsend wallet > go to masternode tab > you can see in the beside right
through masternode.online: visit https://masternodes.online/currencies/BSD/ and you can view all details in there
masternode rewards are usually 20 with x2 perday, and sometimes 20 only

Probably some masternodes got offline or are out of sync and as there are less masternodes in the network you get more rewards because your masternode gets selected more often.
There was a site for Bitsend where it showed in real time the number of active masternodes, but I can't find it now.

Dev has been around probably longer than you have known about cryptos or have been online. Price fluctuation is actually more stable compared to other coins, not sure what are you smoking there

In which directory does Bitsend wallet store its data on a Windows 7 system? I cannot find it, it's not in the usual Roaming directory, and at the same time the wallet does not synch (didn't open the wallet for months).
if your wallet doesn't still sync today, maybe you can check your connection or firewall... the router also has a firewall, please check your firewall router and make sure your firewall in the router bas been opened.
