I am looking for advice on how to speed up mining.  I am using Blago's latest miner.  The PC my HDDs are hooked up to is a Tri-core Phenom w/ 16GB RAM, CPU only maxes when new block is found.  I have 4x 2TB HDs that all report around ~30sec while mining (SATA 6Gbps).  Then I have 10TB via eSATA, and a different 10TB sitting on a FreeNAS ZFS share that I am hooked up to via Gigabit.   The eSATA reports around ~80 sec to scan and the Gigabit ZFS typically gets ~130sec.  My question is, how much am I missing with these 'high' times to submit?  Also, is there anything I can do to improve given my setup?  I will admit that I have several other high-powered PCs that could probably be utilized to mine the eSATA 10TB or the 10TB Gigabit setup, but I am not sure it would help.

Any thoughts, suggestions, or tweaks would be much appreciated...
I have 1 eSata-3 HDD, mining speed = 380Gb / 8 sec = 47.5 Gb/sec (not merged, not defrag), other HDDs mining speed = ~67 Gb/sec (merged, defrag).

Blago - where can I see those stats?

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Uray's block explorer shows under stats that 5849 blocks(about 25%) have been 1-180 seconds. That's a little larger range than you're asking for, but I don't know of any other stats on this.

Most important things for read speed are using a high stagger size, and you want to be using 1 thread to read on each drive. With blago's miner this means 1 folder of plots per drive.

Excellent info - thanks dev!  I am looking at Uray's Block Explorer located at http://burst.cryptoport.io/ - how did you determine that 25%?  I can only see the latest 10 blocks and I am unsure of how to expand further...

My stagger size is optimized at 1049600 for most so that should not be an issue.  I do have some that are optimized at 1048576.  Before your post, I had these plots in different folders based on stagger size.  After placing them in the same folder it cut down ~sec slightly so that is good.

I sure would be interested in narrowing down that range but it definitely gives me a starting point - thx!
If you click "Stat" at the top, it brings up another page with several graphs. If you hover your cursor over a bar in "Block Generation Time Distribution" it shows you the block count and range. I had to divide by the total blocks to get the %.

I see it now, thank you.  Uray - would you mind divulging any more specific stats than 1-180?  Man I gotta get these ~secs down...

Again the same no-strategy from the "investors":
Buy as much as you can, whatever the price --> Huge gap between buy/sell orders and no wall creation to sustain the price which falls after few minutes.

-ANNOUNCEMENT-

The pool at http://mine.burstcoin.info needs miners. There is also an asset you can buy into there that will provide you with extra income. The connection was killed at a very unfortunate time, and thus the pool lost quite a few of it's miners. Now I am going to do this in order to get some back! So, here goes...

The next 25 miners to join the pool, PM me with their burst address, and wait for me to see them on the list of stats on the pool, will be sent 1,500 burst!

The 25 after that to do the same thing, will receive 1,000 burst.

The 25 after that will receive 750 burst.

We will start with that, and see how it goes. I am more than willing to do more giveaways.

The pool server has been solid now for a good while since the incident with the storm, and we shouldn't be experiencing issues like that again. So, let's get our power back and become the pool that we can be!

**Note, I also have another pool that's unofficially related to this pool, but it's private and no fee, and located in the US. If you're interested in that pool you can PM me. Not sure how long it will stick around, or if I will merge with the other pool, it all depends on the miner count and blocks found, etc.**

FYI everyone, this guy is number 18!

ICO? Not even once.
After using the plot merger I only get huge deadlines like 2 months or so with both of the C miners, with 4.6 TB. Staggersize is 768000 (x_1_768000_768000). What am I missing?

Hey miners ))
burstmultipool.com wrote this: So far this shift you have earned: 1204.65471500000000005 BURST (estimate).

And as a result the payment does not come for the few day. Somebody mined on this multipool and how to pay this pool?

No idea fella am mining their also wating to hear when payments done but am assuming its done after sell orders been done on cryptsy and then bought into burst and converted into Burst and then sent to miners

Thanks, crazyearner.
And how long did you wait after mining your payment?
Hey guys,
Payouts are just waiting on a BTC withdrawal from Cryptsy to Polo to buy BURST

I only just started their so going to see how long it is. Its a multi pool so its factors beyond our control if it on auto pilot it needs to sell the cryptos its mined from our side then sell on cryptsy then come back buy burst and give in exchange could be 24 hours could be longer depending on how fast rounds are and how quick it is at selling

OK. Remains therefore only wait...

What's the progress on these following plans;
Advanced transactions(escrow, subscription, reserve funds then transfer not yet known portion later)
BurstId authentication system
Allow linking BurstId to burst account for transfers with spending limits.
DHT for off-chain services
Off-chain encrypted messaging and voip between burstid accounts
File storage(disclaimer: still figuring out a good way to do this. this will take a while.)

escrow is done, others are in progress
