Hi Miners,

i had some questions, the answers i don't found in the forum or here.
What is the best configuration on a Xeon server with 5 x 4TB?

I had 128GB Ram. So i so verry confused about plotsize and staggersize.

How could i exactly calculate the plotsize? Is it important, that the value must divideable through 256?

Could someone help me with the calculation?

File 1: wplotgenerator xx 0 14200000 20096 4 /async
File 2: wplotgenerator xx 14200001 28400001  20096 4 /async

Is this a correct calculation? Is it better to do this with a staggersize of 40000 or 60000? An is this only important for the generation? Or when i then use 5 Miners, so i require 5 x staggersize?

I realy confused...sorry for the basics questions...

1 nonce = 256kb. Stagger the higher the better for your disks.

Scanning this thread all i see is miners talking to each other. Theres no discussion about selling, price, or
PR for the coin etc. Am I missing something with this coin?

You're right!
We're all miners, we just want to became bagholder asap, then we will start to make pr and looking for dummies investors who will buy our mined coins instead mine for free with theyr hdd.
We're mining the best we can before difficulty rise too much.
Then we start to make promotions.

But first, we need to collect millions each.

JERK.

Which region are you from , I tried different IPs with different pools , and nothing...
EDIT: I start thinking its some IP filtering from the miner...
im from belarus, last version fails like that, didnt tryed another ones.

Right now this thread is very convoluted, which is why we opened our own forum... www.burstforum.com

There you can find other places to talk about the next steps.

The reason you only see mining discussion, is because it is a completely new mining style that everyone is attempting to figure out, so yea, there will be a lot of technical talk about mining, but yes, we are aware there are other things that need discussion, and we are doing that as well, all things in time!

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH BURSTMULTIPOOL.COM???

paradigm, I would like to sell my assets back, as nothing seems to be happening with them, can you please PM me. Thanks.

I was thinking about it today, i bought the shares but i didn't saw any dividend

I don't think anyone ever did, I am pretty sure I am the biggest single owner, I was all in on this until I saw absolutely nothing come of it, he had a great plan, but no follow-through... now I'm wondering what he'll do when I contact him asking for my share investment back, seeing as he didn't do a single thing he said he would, or didn't show proof of anything, or anything... I totally feel taken.

@Blago:
I just tryed your new miner, thanks for your effort but I still have issues with the miner.
First , I manualy added outbound and inbound rule into my windows firewall to accept any connection with the program.
I set my bat fle with this values:

miner.exe pool burstpool.ddns.net 8124 D:\BURST\gpuPlotGenerator-bin-win-x86-2.1.1\plots\

pause

It showed some movement on the pictutre below:

I have no luck this time too...

That doesn't prove anything. Lots of people use stock photography... Although he was supposed to be some guy with a high function inside the company...
Yeah, getting back to what I said earlier.

ahem, did you look at "the box" that is to be the miner ?
That is just your average industrial enclosure for controlling some machinery on a production line.

I see 2 Siematic-like controllers, and the close up is just some microcontroller board.

This "box" may switch some one-digit kW power supply lines, but there is nothing hinting at several kW to be dissipated FROM this box.

Looks like a scam to me, and cointelegraph.com is on my ignore-list now - shitty research.

I'm not into automation but that surely didn't look like an ASIC miner to me. Not to mention that the number of chips for 5 Gh scrypt would be considerably larger that what was there.

Its a controller for a industrial robot.

check page 49 on the following doc

and compare with

You see this is why burst will succeed as a altcoin... who the hell can compete with this?

http://www.rhinoceroslabs.com/index.php/solutions/scrypt-asic-miner-rl4

Thats a scam. Seriously, would you buy $55k worth of equipment from someone having a CPU as a picture instead of an ASIC? Also selling warehouse robots, and all of a sudden decided to make an ASIC.
And 5 Gh for 9W... Really...

I'm pretty sure that if you told someone ten years ago that you could fit a 2.5ghz quad-core in your pocket with a screen and a battery to last the whole day, they would've laughed at you. But anyway, I'm not investing Wink. I don't know about scam or not, but the risk is too high.

@fanepatent: "9 kW/H of power from the wall", it says 9W/H there, But don't know if that's like MH, or GH, or KH, and I do agree with you about not trusting it/buying it. Just wanted to point that all out lol

Yeah.. it isnt a scam. sorry to rain on the parade lol   http://cointelegraph.com/news/112610/industrial-scale-manufacturer-rolls-out-5ghs-asic-scrypt-miner-ceo-there-is-still-room-for-increasing-hashpower

That's not raining, thank you for that. I love being proven wrong, with the actual facts put in front of me, when I'm actually wrong about something Cheesy

FFS its a scam

6th BTC reached. Thank you for your support
Hi, can someone clarity that once the HDs are plotted, I can move the plotted drive to a slower computer to mine? ie an ATOM processor system?

will it make a difference running the miner on a i7 then on an ATOM base system.

thanks.

I was doing the same way. No problems after moving the HDDs to another system (plotted with i7-4790K / AVX2, then moved to i7-3770K).

thanks, but I was going to move it to a more slower machine (Intel® Atom™ Processor D525 (1.80GHz / 1M Cache)  or maybe a Duo Core system.

I was wondering will there be a difference in running the miner on an i7 than on an Atom machine.

That sucks

it does indeed. I have given 147 thousand burst to this, and haven't seen anything come of it. If he could at least explain what's going on I would be cool, but not even that is happening, he hasn't replied to anyone about this, and I'm starting to get a little upset about it.
