The major work in this week includes releasing a new version of “NEU” with AIHASH POW and the complete smart contract trading process. “Neu” is the smallest unit of Bytom, and 1BTM = the 8 power of 10, Neu. Neu is the basic unit of gas. This version supports both standard and contract transactions. Standard transactions provide the gas for contractual transactions, and standard transactions take up less storage space and simplify a lot of blockchain space because of the introduction of segwit. Contract transactions are designed flexibly, to ensure that the transaction does not enter a single result in the order of the operation results in inconsistencies, which is the most basic principle of our designed contract. The contracts operation should be successfully overall success, or all fails.

Development progress:
1. [dev] Test bytom v0.3.0 and track the issue # 246 (spend problem).

2. [dev] Complete the full nodes integration test for the related api of “net-info” and “key”.

3. [dev] Add the function for adding webbrowser library in order to achieve configurable opening/closing browser.

4. [dev] Optimize the contract compiler and complete the development of functions for controling versions and calling for third-party modules in contract. The functions are under relatedly testing.

5. [dev] Reconstruct the algorithm of POW mining to enhance its safety and stability, and make it more adapted to the AI ​​chip.

6. [dev] Further refine the JSON API documentation and resolve clear the undeleted “delete-account” issue # 253 in the cache.

7. [dev] Complete the development and test for pay-to-script-hash address transaction and merge it into dev. This function supports multiple signed address transactions.

*Note*: Completing the Bytom POW mechanism requires three steps: (1) algorithm design and coding, (2) algorithm proof and (3) hardware chip design and deployment. The first two steps have been completed and the third step is currently under way.

4. Bytom cooperates with SpaceChain and they will deploy Bytom AI chip on the SpaceChain satellite in the future.

5. Bytom will work with COOIX to jointly develop data authentication, user authentication system and credit rating system based on Bytom.

6. Bytom will work with iCube to build cross-chain mutual recognition of assets, circulation, mortgage loans and other qualifying financial services applications.
