Price on bter is 0.00000290.
The game is ugly.
This coin has no chance will up.

I am not sure what you expect to be a good looking game.

It was said since the start that they wouldn't do crappy graphics but wouldn't do high class graphics either to allow most players to play the game.
Look at counter strike similar graphics if not worse, bad gameplay but a huge success and i doubt they had such a dedicated team behind the game.

But i believe the devs and team members plans are way above the single game idea here and this could be the future of online gaming gambling but it will require a constant support from the community.

As soon as the beta will be released i personnaly wouldn't be surprised to see the price skyrocket at 10-20X to actual price for a start but since i can't read the future ill sit and support to make it happen the way i want it to happen Smiley

Did Mintpal ever honor their promise to donate some BTC to Coin2 after everyone ate the cost of reimbursing mintpal holders?

How does the POS work?

Don't really understand the POS/POW jargon to be honest!

Is it safe to unlock the C2.1 wallet for POS and when and how does it all work?

Help understanding it all is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!  Smiley

Proof of Stake is a proposed alternative to Proof of Work. Like proof of work, proof of stake provides a mechanism for determining who signs bitcoin transactions (see "main" bitcointalk thread, and a Bounty Thread).

It was probably first proposed here by Quantum Mechanic. With Proof of Work, the probability of mining a block depends on the work done by the miner (e.g. CPU/GPU cycles spent checking hashes). With Proof of Stake, the resource that's compared is the amount of Bitcoin a miner holds - someone holding 1% of the Bitcoin can mine 1% of the "Proof of Stake blocks".

Some argue that methods based on Proof of Work alone might lead to a low network security in a cryptocurrency with block incentives that decline over time (like bitcoin) due to Tragedy of the Commons, and Proof of Stake is one way of changing the miner's incentives in favor of higher network security.

Quote
A proof of work is a piece of data which was difficult (costly, time-consuming) to produce so as to satisfy certain requirements. It must be trivial to check whether data satisfies said requirements. Producing a proof of work can be a random process with low probability, so that a lot of trial and error is required on average before a valid proof of work is generated. Bitcoin uses the Hashcash proof of work.

One application of this idea is using hashcash as a method to preventing email spam, requiring a proof of work on the email's contents (including the To address), on every email. Legitimate emails will be able to do the work to generate the proof easily (not much work is required for a single email), but mass spam emailers will have difficulty generating the required proofs (which would require huge computational resources).

Hashcash proofs of work are used in Bitcoin for block generation. Proofs of work that are tied to the data of each block are required for the blocks to be accepted. The difficulty of this work is adjusted so as to limit the rate at which new blocks can be generated by the network to one every 10 minutes. Due to the very low probability of successful generation, this makes it unpredictable which worker computer in the network will be able to generate the next block.

For a block to be valid it must hash to a value less than the current target; this means that each block indicates that work has been done generating it. Each block contains the hash of the preceding block, thus each block has a chain of blocks that together contain a large amount of work. Changing a block (which can only be done by making a new block containing the same predecessor) requires regenerating all successors and redoing the work they contain. This protects the block chain from tampering.

The most widely used proof-of-work scheme is SHA-256, which was introduced by Bitcoin. Some other hashing algorithms that are used for proof-of-work include scrypt, Blake-256, CryptoNight,[1] HEFTY1, Quark, SHA-3, scrypt-jane, scrypt-n, and combinations.

How can anyone pass judgement on a game that isn't even finished? As stated many times the graphics are being updated. Also the landscape in the background isn't one of our maps lol.

Honestly I wonder how people like that manage to breathe.

Why is everyone trying to troll about the price?? Who cares honestly... it will rise when the time is right, but if your really desperate for it to start rising, start taking the time to promote what were doing here. Also, before you start going on about we don't do good PR, keeping on page 1 of the Announcement page is pretty good, and I promote through the trollbox on polo. We are ranked #1 here, http://www.coinssource.com/top-coins/, but that doesn't matter. What matters is we are dedicated to pushing our projects out and finishing what we start. In order for the coin to become popular, it relies on its community as much as it does the devs and board members. So go out and run naked through the streets with a big coin2 logo on your back, =D. Idk, probly not such a good idea but you get the point, Zyron works for free, we don't pay him, and he provides nice images for coin2 ads, despite what the rest of u haters think. Write a song, draw some stick figures, make a video, just get word out if u wanna see the price do something. You need to attract the attention of the whales, not expect them to just float along and pump us. I also do small promotions on twitter occasionally, so we do our part and you can do something to help too.

I Bought 20k from Bter a moment ago to support Coin2.1.
My open sell orders are 10k @ 0.005 and 10k @ 0.01
Hope Coin2.1 will never disappointed me again when I come back from Dubai in few months like the previous Coin2s.

I am the CEO of UniversalTalent International Pictures, a Hollywood movie studio.

I've been in discussions for several weeks with one of Coin2's board members regarding a joint venture to develop a 2nd generation FPS game based on our upcoming horror movie "The Fifth Victim". Our discussions got sidetracked during the attack and the rebuilding process, but we are still very interested and want to proceed.

We may develop the game with Coin2 or independently develop it and offer it to online gamers who will pay for access and be rewarded with C2 when they reach certain levels in the game.

It would be helpful to hear from the community on this project before we roll up our sleeves.

Have a great day.

Gary Brant, CEO
UniversalTalent International Pictures

Just noticed this from the c2 Facebook. Is this someone who made  an account on btctalk to post a line he found somewhere else or this is really the ceo of universal talent the same one who's going to do the fifth victim movie which is posting directly in this thread?

lol i am surprised to see this i hope this is real!

Shhhh this is supposed to be a secret. Wink

Lol - we won't tell if you don't

BTW small tip on the way for your first class work on the wallet.
