Joel has clearly walked. Nobody would confirm it in IRC but it's obvious now. The best thing is though is that it doesn't matter now. This changeover is showing that the current board and devs can handle things and the coin is likely to be much more secure this time.
I remember 17th of May when Joel told us that :

Too bad. So sad. I was pretty sure about Joel and about that he wont let it go so easily. I understand all of the pressure and stuff ... but he shouldn't let it go...
Anyway
We will soon have new coin
and I HOPE THAT no more fuc(##@ing attacks are goin to happen.
