Can someone give a run-down of how the coin is going to be earned through the game?

It's not, it's going to be staked on the games.

Ah, so it's going to be where you bet on a game and then if you win you take the pot?

as is my understanding, yes.

I would add though that my understanding is that C2 will have alot of infrastructure developed around it to enable this function without infringing upon the intellectual property of others (as you would if you attempted to mod a pre existing game).

The FPS (Chain of Conflict) is simply the first of many uses for C2 being developed which will increase demand by way of increasing utility, the dev team, being somewhat indie in size will not be releasing information about other infrastructure and uses until they are well into the development of said programs/sites/etc in order to prevent preemptive shitcoin clone competition (like what the WarZ MMO did to DayZ standalone).

By this process the dev team seeks to create demand of C2 as the pre-eminant form of crypto used in gaming (eSports?) etc (tipping on youtube?)

If they are successful (I think they will be personally, full disclosure, I own 350k C2), and C2 is in demand due to these new uses, new C2 users will begin to apply pressure to traditional gaming community retailers to accept their C2, which should lead to wide C2 merchant adoption (at least places like steam/neweggs whatever that cater already to this community).

Once consensus of C2 == Gaming Crypto is achieved, I would then expect to see developers outside of C2 team looking to create games to integrate into the C2 gaming infrastructure (think like an indie team making a game that would be free to play but would use C2 micro payments), and other retailers looking to accept C2 to profit from this community adoption.

So for me, thats the crack. Create the brand identity of C2 = Gaming Crypto.

I think there might be CAIx trying to do something a little like this with facebook games? I think maybe CAIx == Shares in their company or something.
LeetCoin (google), is trying to do this with BTC but who in their right mind bets with BTC?! (and who wants to bet 0.0002?)
If someone did this with facebook games I wouldn't rate it as their is no ego involved. Egos lead to staking.
Big publishers will of course not follow any model into crypto as it will destroy their relationship with big finance which they need to make their mega titles.

*edit 2

I think that if this is successful, we might need more C2 to keep a FIAT/C2 parity that people find rewarding and avoid deflating to a level where people bet fractions, but they can hardfork later and more the decimal place one increment to the right.

I can definitely see a gaming crypto being useful. Even better would be if it could then be tied with things like Second Life and Facebook (alongside their other currencies).

Just my thought

If someone succeeded hack into MintPal stole 50+% of the Bitcoin, should Bitcoin pay Mintpal for the lost?

I think it was partly a vulnerability of the coin2.0 if I understand well
but if its so the same vulnerability should exist in other POS coins

Other PoS models following the PoW/PoS model (PeerCoin Model). Pure PoS (nxt) is different.

@everyone saying NAS is a failure etc

I havn't looked into NAS but if NAS clones NXT why buy NAS?

My theory was that the PoS model of NXT is more secure than PeerCoin, c2 would still maintain the ultility of c2, ie. the gaming crypto / fps crypto. Basicly, NAS has no reason to exist, hence no one in their right mind wants it.
C2 has purpose, C2 has a reason to exist.

Does nxt support coloured coins? if c2 goes nxt route, could use coloured coins for add ons in fps to generate revenue like hats in tf2

Why NC2 coin  not trade in platform?

If you read over the last couple of pages it says that Coin2 was double spent on Mintpal and we are issuing a new coin very soon.

It wasn't the result of a giant insect attack or something along those lines.

If you have coins on an exchange, they will be exchanged for you by the exchange when the exchange has new coins to exchange.

lot of exchange there  lol

that is playing arround my head all the time  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

my tought is that dev team should take time, short term traders wont like this, and create hardass coin, there is huuuge effort for sure to make one, but there

is many new things arround, we need dev team to put their effort and collect those ideas to create new Coin2

with attention we have and cool game coming, trust me, those pound seekers in mintpall will beg us to come

Ok, guys, it might be too late but, well, I did my best
It's really early dirty beta and has some bugs in memory leaking on server side but it works somehow so pls try not to kill it Wink

http://nc2chain.info/top100

Just in case it could break at any time I saved a copy of the result here http://pastebin.com/bZuyC3dS

So this richlist doesn't include addresses of excahnges?

I have over 707K of NC2 on Bter and it doesn't show here

Do you see your balance in Bter account?

I don' t even see my couns there, but one thing I know that number 3 in rich list is Bter transit address (***Wure), where are stuck my funds also, because my deposit was processed while Bter disabled C2 market.

Anyway, Bter person promised to convert coins to new ones when dev approves the deposit source address, according to coin swap rule #3

the game should help secure the network.
The more people playing the game the more staking coins to wager against each other.
PoS+PoG (ProofOfGaming)

Imagine that...

it looks a good idea.
I think we should do it like this:
if a player win in the game, the player should get some C2 coins.if the player fail,he/she can not get C2.

@42 coin.

Altering the total ammount of c2 will not change the mechanic that allowed this to occur.
If we keep PeerCoin model we need higher market cap and / or benovolent monopoly.
Or NXTcoin PoS model with deterministic probability of block based on coin age accrued. (but we still need people minting!)

G.

is it possible for us to adopt NXTcoin model?

it is amazing if we do.

But NXT clones are not really doing too good. Just have a look at a NAS coin...

4 satoshi as a price for 1 coin...

NAS market cap is not bad at all.

another thing is NAS is totally clone. but C2 has its own glitches.

with addition of gambling or other features, C2 may got more momentum.

Well I am sure devs have got their plan about what they will do.
I must say I hope they will not change it into another NXT like coin but I don't say this would be very wrong ...

I just wish this 2nd attack never happend...
