YACoin came up with checkbox stake minting. Is that the coin you were referring to?

I'm not sure it was YACoin Beave162, I did say "recent coin"  Grin In all seriousness, I'll be damned if I can't remember. Will dig around my browsing history when my toddler gives me a break! Does YACoin show the PoS staking "weight"?
I remember only that I had seen a screenshot with a tooltip displaying something very roughly along these lines:
"Your PoS weight is X, the network PoS weight is Y, on average you should mint a PoS block in Z days".

how much hash are you getting on the 750 ti, i heard Nvidia is better than amd at scrypt jane ?

The 750 TI is awesome at many algo's, though I'm not sure scrypt:jane is where it performs best (relative to an AMD part). With the previous nfactor, I was doing slightly more than 25Kh/s per card. With the current nfactor, I still have to find out what the best settings are, in any case, right now I'm doing ~9Kh/s per card (reasonably overclocked).

Happy Mining

Great community we have here. Kudos to you Mr. Kalgecin!

Off I go to find out proper settings for the new nfactor with my 750ti's. If I can't break some better mining rates with these, will have to go back to what I had been doing recently: mine a "random but profitable crapcoin", quickly dump the proceeds, and get me some more CACH!  Cool

Looking forward for the privacy enhancements!

Oh, and while I'm at it, what would the group think about making the PoS feature a bit more user friendly? I've seen some recent coin that had a couple of interesting PoS features, one was a single checkbox to "mint-unlock" the wallet, the other thing was that it showed "weight" or I suppose, the calculated probability of finding a PoS block with the current balance/coinage.
Can't remember what coin that was, and quite possible that it was not even an "original" feature, I should say I can't (or care to) by any means keep up with all the pointless new coins that launch everyday now. Will post here if I can find out where I spotted that feature...

Cheers all,
~ Myagui

Was it your pool that mined the bad block?

The next diff should fall by about 3-4x that puts the diff below 1.5 :-D

Actually two of them (at diff around 15), now with the update the diff droped to 0.86

I wish to compensate for the 2 blocks. It was my fault that this bug caused this and i'd be happy to refund them. They were 19.01 and 15.83 cach?

I don't know if it's just a matter of giving it some time, but in any case, looks like the block stats are not updating yet on
http://explorer.cachecoin.org

Is a newest (i.e. with the bugfix) version running at the block explorer? If not, the new blocks from bugfixed version will be seen as invalid and thus won't appear at all.

it seems he hasn't updated it yet :-(

Sad still getting getwork failures despite setting difficulty , does that mean i need to increase it ?

Seems you found a block at the updated diff gentamicin.  Wink  (here's to the block maturing!!!!)

Think we're generally over the nfactor 'bump' now (or as soon as everyone is running the updated code).  Cool
Maybe we need to reach out to exchanges & what not? (don't ask me, I'm clueless  Grin)

Good job guys!

Still not providing work fast enough? I'll be home in about an hr. Will check the pool. But it is updated as it needs to be. So it's safe to mine on it :-)

cach.catcoin.cz and pool.cachecoin.net are now both updated to bug-less versions and the fork should be thus now also fixed.

There may be some transactions done to the forked-out blockchain - it seems 4 users may be affected. These transactions will be verified and if not found in the current blockchain, they will be repaid manually. I'll look into this in the evening once things settle down.

nfactor 13, getting 21 kh/s on my 290x on pool.cachecoin.org

pool not providing work fast enough , is there a work around for this

If you look at http://p2pool.cachecoin.org:8336/static/about.html
- you can choose difficulty for your miner, so for 21 kh/s just append +0.00002000 after your Cachecoin address and perhaps it will work
(this difficulty selection should work with all p2pools)
