Football gambling first please!
I Agree - 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil start June 12!
If chancecoin will have an easy client this will be amazing opportunity

other from that poker is the most popular game and I personally also like blackjack (will probably be easier to implement)

(p.s: mightname where did magician say this? it's not here and not in the chancecoin chat).

Great idea, they should be a big buzz for chancecoin ! A gambling application with "bet" like NXT asset, who any body can create a bet.
But who can chose the result of the bet ? A bot, or an admin ? Bet like this can't be automatic.

And a new logo Smiley

Please Give some suggestions about the new betting and gambling functions added to CHA!!!

From magician:

Venetian and I are going to have a discussion about what games and betting functionality to add next, based on all the feedback we've received.
what's your favorite method of sports betting? what existing site is a good example of the style of betting Chancecoin should implement?
and for regular casino games (blackjack, roulette, pai gow, poker, etc.), which ones do you think are most important to implement?
I g2g, but if you guys get a chance to answer those questions, I'll check the responses later.

How are
1) what people bet on
2) what the stakes are

determined with this coin? Basically, how does the decentralised gambling actually work?

from a non-technical point of view it's actually very simple: people make a bet, putting in their desired stake and winning probability, the system determines if the gambler won or lost via new york lottery drawing and he or she gets his coins or loses them. if he wins new coins are created, if he loses his stake is destroyed, which levels out on a long-term time scale.

So people are betting only on ny lottery drawings? Just wondering what some examples look like.

I'm curious about this too.

the lottery drawings are just an input for randomness. example: i  choose 50% probability and i bet 100 cha. i win, i get 200 cha. (disregarding house edge).
it's really not that complicated to understand (as a concept at least, i guess technically it's a very challenging thing to develop)

can somebody elaborate on this? profit should be negative, right? or is this the house edge profit?

It is from the viewpoint of the house.  If you bet any amount the house stands to win the house edge on average. The house won more than expected currently

I just saw the post on the Hacker News. Chancecoin looks like a very promising coin. I just bought a few hundred CHA on the Poloniex. This coin should really be trading at a higher price. Why are there so many big offers posted at low valuations? This creates a downward pressure on the price and makes it harder to get your order filled. If you want to sell, don't show your hand. Either pull your offer or put it at a way higher price. Be patient. We need to get the valuation higher so we can get higher on coinmarketcap, etc. so people take the coin seriously. Worry about capitalizing on your investment later, when you can do it at a better price. It's going to be pretty stupid if all of the initial investors fall over themselves to try to sell for like a 20% gain when we can work together to gain 2000%.

TLDR: Initial investors: please be more patient and don't show your hand on the sell side of the order book. Let's shoot for the sky high valuation this coin deserves. Who's with me?

So basically what you're trying to say is.........hooooooold for the longest time?
