I'm getting PM's lately from people who want to bring back CHIP..

We will probably bring it back, but not in it's current form.

This coin has already been swapped into another coin, therefore using the same chain is a no-go.



More info in a later stadium.

Yobit seems to be on a wrong chain... Don't deposit to yobit... I doubt they will ever fix it..

Someone contacted me about a possible restart of this coin.. I thought it might be a good idea to re-open the thread to give it some life again.
I dont own much CHIP myself anymore.. I sold some, given a bunch away, and lost some in my house fire.. I will not develop this coin myself.. I have too much on my mind with my own project.. (CHIP was a takeover project)

I don't know if this person or team is serious, I was just asked if it was an option if they took control.. I have no idea what they are planning..
This is an opensource project so everyone is free to step in.. I might even give away the chipcoin.info domain if someone is serious enough...


The wallet on yobit is still working btw...

No, I have not yet spoken to anyone about this. Thank you for your input, I will soon send him a private message. But first we would love to hear from the rest of the community as well.

We have several plans for using Chipcoin on a broader scale. One part revolves around an online marketplace which allows anyone to buy/sell new and second-hand electronics for both fiat and Chipcoin.

Another part involves the possibility to buy new and sell second-hand electronics in our local shops. Payments occur in a currency of choice: fiat or Chipcoin. The second-hand electronics sold to us will be put online for sale at our online marketplace as well.

The last part has yet to be determined, but to give a sneak preview: We want to start a video series where we; involve our valued customers by featuring them, answer customer questions and do Chipcoin giveaways each episode.

Dear Chipcoin community,

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Henry (mid-50s) and I am the owner of a chain of electronics stores in the UK. Our stores are located in Scotland, Wales and England, and soon Northern Ireland. Like many of you I am also truly intrigued by the crypto atmosphere. I learned about cryptocurrencies mid-2015 and started trading and following projects early-2016, so I guess one could say I am quite new. However, since I am fascinated by both electronics and cryptocurrencies, we started looking for ways to implement and accept cryptocurrencies into our business. There were some legal hurdles which took us nearly 2 months to settle, luckily we managed.

For the past few weeks we have been actively training our staff and have been studying several crypto projects that could possibly suit our business. Of course, since we are a business, the safest choice would have been to go with Bitcoin as it is the most widely accepted digital currency. However, earning money is not what we are fervent about. Instead, we are all about teaching and informing our customers about new things we are deeply passionate about ourselves. It took us some time, but out of all crypto projects we have been studying there was a clear winner; we decided to go with Chipcoin.

Why did we choose Chipcoin? We investigated the early days and history of Chipcoin. Intentionally Chipcoin was created to serve as a currency in a hardware shop for computer parts. Unfortunately, the original creator of Chipcoin had malicious intents and left the community behind. Amazingly enough, the community did not agree, stood up and managed to completely take over the project. We were astonished by the amount of commitment and stability the community had offered. Hands down to each and every one of you who contributed. We are well aware of the new project the Chipcoin team has started, but we decided to stick by Chipcoin as its original intentions suit our business and interests just perfectly.

Before we give more information about our business or go into further detail, we would love to know how the Chipcoin community feels about this. Everyone feel free to give your honest opinion, we would appreciate your input.

I want to advise all of you who have a pending CHIP deposit/withdraw on yobit to write them a support message.. The issue is on their side..

CHIP coin price has dropped today , and I think it might drop more , because the op started to send the twitter campaign bounties , I think there is 200 k CHIP will be sent , and most of the members who joined the twitter campaign will sell their bounties , so I think it is the best chance to buy more CHIP with lower price .

Banzai, I keep supporting you even if this swap thing shaked me a little bit, it came suddenly where my concentration was somewhere else. I like what I see for beginn, nice job.

 

Not sure... PIO round two is coming up.. So I guess this market action has to do with that
