multibit copy over does not work for me although i have plenty of transactions in MAY in Bitcoin , much more than in my BTC wallet ( which did credit 4.6)

have tried

importwallet multibit.key

and

importPrivkey xxxxxxxxxxxxx ( taken from multibit logs)

NO Coins

anyone have success with multibit wallet?

any help would be appreciated

Q

Try this:

-Take an empty btc wallet.dat (from Bitcoin client or other) and place it in your clam roaming folder.

-In clam wallet go to console and import your private key

-Close the client.

-Create a shortcut of your Clam-qt client

-Go to proprieties and put --salvagewallet at the line end in target.

-Start the wallet with the shortcut you created

It worked for me with blockchain.info account

ty for your response , unfortunately this also did not work

but i appreciate you taking the time to reply

Lot's of false positives in crypto.

I'm running Avast which always flags minerd as malware, etc...
And it's ok... plus I'm sure this coin was properly checked out by Poloniex...
Poloniex is involved in the distribution, baby.

It is possible to tell if you have clams just by putting the public address in the block chain explorer?

I'm experiencing something slightly strange.....

First of all, I used my Dogecoin to get my 4.6 coins, worked a treat - transferred them to my exchange.

Next, I used my Bitcoin wallet to get my 4.6 coins, they came into the wallet fine, but...
When I now try and transfer them to the exchange, it say's that "the passphrase entered for the wallet decryiption was incorrect"

Now, there's no chance on earth I'm using the wrong passphrase - I type it out and then copy/paste it into the box, so I know there's no mistakes.

Anyone else experienced this problem? I didn't have the issue with Dogecoin generated Clams - just my BTC.

Thanks in advance

yes i can´t unlock encrypted wallets either

My first wallet (Dogecoin) unlocked without a problem.

It's just the BTC transfer that's caused the problem. In any eventuality, I'd transferred all funds from my BTC wallet beforehand, so there's no issue there.

No encrypted wallet is unlockable for me.
Is it possible to dump every key you have in your wallet.dat ?

I own doge at a exchnage , can i download Doge wallet tonight and still get the free clam

i am little confused - is it possible for scamer to get the free CLAMS then just move the doge to a new wallet ?

wont work, the clams have already been distributed based on a snapshot of the doge/ltc/btc blockchain prior to  ~may 16

that is why if you have qualms about importing your doge/ltc/btc wallet (privkey), you can move your coins to a new wallet and import old wallet with 0 balance to claim clams

thankyou
very clear - OP should quote this as is was easy to understand
