clam is very nice project. However, sync. the blockchain take forever and ever...ever.. so I gave up. :-(

Syncing from scratch is crazy slow. Been stuck on 2 year(s) and between 14 - 20 weeks for days now.
That's correct. It can literally take weeks or even months. I've done it, twice, and it did work, but the sync performance is horribly substandard.
Took it a couple of days to fully import the bootstrap, but it's working fine now.
For those having issues, just download and drop it in the Roaming directory with your wallet file and restart the client.

Hi guys, having trouble syncing the client. I have tried to download the bootstrap torrent and file and they will not download. The file stops at 33 MB and the torrent doesn’t get any peers connected. If I leave the Clam client open it starts and then stops downloading blocks after awhile. What should I do? Syncing from scratch is crazy slow. Been stuck on 2 year(s) and between 14 - 20 weeks for days now.

I can’t get the file to download for me though. Any ideas as to why? It starts then stalls to 0 kB/s every time.

CLAM seems interesting, I probably would have a bunch if I had kept my wallet from years ago. For the people worrying about bitcoin gaining dominance again I would say not to worry. Bitcoin gold is total scam garbage and the altcoin community is full of great opportunities. Alts will rise again!

+1 Clam's going up. You can't beat this coin, great distribution, excepted on nearly all exchanges with good consistent longterm volume.
Not sure if it will bounce enough to cover this disaster.
What disaster? Fairly solid support for a base between $3-$4 compared to the sub-$1 of a year ago?
