Dear Cloak Community,

I am happy to submit to you my February report. February was a month that Cloak family faced the unpleasant news of Binance delisting CloakCoin. As it was shocking news to our team, it also was shocking for our community and investors in Turkey. What is done cannot be undone, but we shall move forward and stay focused on what we are doing.

As you may know, CloakCoin's main focus in 2019 is education, and as a Turkish coordinator, I am happy to mention that I got the chance to contact several university blockchain clubs to engage with young talents, share Cloak's vision and not only speak to them but also listen to their thoughts about potential ideas on CloakCoin project.

I am trying to create university clubs union where undergraduates connect to each other about blockchain. So far five university blockchain clubs have agreed to join this union: Ege University, University of Turkish Aeronautical Association, Istanbul Technical University, Kocaeli University, and Girne American University. In upcoming months; I have a goal to organize educational meetings in these universities as the Cloak Turkish Coordinator. In my opinion, this is one of the key points to the mass adoption of blockchain technology in general and CloakCoin specifically.

Not only I have plans to organize meetings in various universities, but also as I did in February, I will keep talking about how distributed ledger technology works, Proof of Stake, and Privacy in Cloak Blockchain Academy in Istanbul.

As you may know, there is an event organized by Altcointurk in Cloak Blockchain Academy each Friday where Turkish crypto community gets together and talk about the technology and share their experiences in this industry at CryptoFriday.

As I mentioned previously, this month was an extraordinary month, not only in terms of the number of days but also about the news we got, so mainly this month I met, took care of and answered the questions of Cloak's investors in Turkey both online and offline which made February 2019 the busiest month. So far, I can say, despite the news, I can proudly mention that our investors are also our supporters, still believing in CloakCoin's tech and privacy attributes and the team behind it.

Next month I will be focusing on more mass adoption, where the number of Cloak's merchandisers rise in Turkey and education.

Dear Cloak Community,

We're pleased to announce the CloakCoin v2.2.2.1 'rEVOLUTION' wallet for Windows and Linux. The Mac wallet will be available soon.

While work is also done on the switch to BTC codebase v0.17, we haven't forgotten about the current version of the wallet, already available for our community. This update is another set of changes & improvements targeting better stability and user experience - after careful revision, code was added to slightly alter the speed of Enigma transaction handling, as well as some network buffer tracking/shaping. Motivation was to fix the d/c storm issue associated with Enigma transactions.

The issue is not (and was not) reproducible on devnet or testnet with relatively small number of nodes - hard to say this is the final solution without testing it "in the wild" as the problem seems to be large network and/or bandwidth related; we would require most of our users to also run testnet nodes. That being said, we are also looking into putting in place a permanent testnet, where issues like this can be tested properly and will provide us with a better place to catch more errors before they hit livenet.

Note: To isolate the send/receive mechanics from previous client versions that have the issue, Enigma v1.2 is not backwards compatible." Anyone can now take advantage of CloakCoin's Transaction System.

Changelog:

- introduced a small delay in processing enigma onion layers & relaying messages
- added a delay to socket read when receive buffer approaching full to allow time for processing and relaying messages in the main thread
- bumped client version to 2.2.2.1
- bumped Enigma engine version to 1.2

- work on PoW mechanics has been mostly completed
- adding PoS minting functionality is still under way, proving to be more challenging than anticipated
- a new wallet design has been proposed & prototyped, looking into creating a Web/Electron front-end

- Bisq implementation completed, Cloak should be available in their next release

@Current client, rEvolution:

Description:

@Voting system concept/idea:

1. Improvement Proposals or Voting Matters with proper name & details (including a snapshot height) are submitted via official website
- once validated, the proposal/matter creation signal & their ID (within a properly formatted OPRETURN) is submitted to the blockchain as a transaction (one creator? everyone can? if everyone - prevent "parking"/pre-creating proposals without proper description and details entered; cannot store everything on chain)
2. Participating wallet owner creates a new address
- only the first transaction (funding tx) into that address is considered a vote; this is to enable you to still move funds, exclude someone else sending you coins & minted coins increasing vote weight over time
- first transaction into that address also contains an OPRETURN with proposal/matter ID(s) and corresponding YES/NO signal(s)
- amount of coins sent into the address acts as vote weighting, equally distributed across proposals/matters if multiple
- votes are counted and evaluated on reaching the snapshot block height (weight vs. numbers calculation still TBD), blockchain is scanned for funding txs containing the proposal/matter OPRETURN, from proposal creation height to snapshot height

This year the focus will be on education and adoption. It is really nice to see that we are taking advantage of each of our individual strengths to make this happen. I want to take the opportunity to give my compliments to the other coordinators: They are doing such a great job, there is a lot to learn from them. And I want to thank our community for sticking with us in the longest bear market so far: It´s just awesome to see the trust in us! Future plans:

- Negotiate partnerships with (Dutch) representatives from other projects.

- Sign up 1 vendor every quarter in the Netherlands that doesn’t accept crypto. Paying them a visit and helping them personally to accept Cloak and put the “Pay with Cloak Sticker” on their shop/ restaurant window.

- Organize the official Cloak meet up in Amsterdam.

- Organize an informational evening for business owners informing them about the power of Cloak for their business and show them the different ways to accept.

- Research the Cloak adoption density in specific countries. In countries with high density, looking for big companies that accept Cloak – in countries with low density, researching how to increase adoption.
