I have not noticed that, e.g. the pool from the github code linked in the previous code is at the following values for me, taken from my node at http://cnc.crabdance.com:8400/static/

Pool Rate 295MH/s (37% DOA+orphan)
Peers 6 out, 5 in

From the "root" node at http://chn.p2pool.skralg.com:8109/static/

Pool rate: 293MH/s (36% DOA+orphan)
Peers: 4 out, 11 in

Im using the code from https://github.com/skralg/p2pool-feathercoin now, this will bootstrap to http://chn.p2pool.skralg.com:8109

SHARE_PERIOD and SPREAD are still badly chosen for CHNCoin. That won't make many miners happy...

someone PM'd me about the outage before as well, all I can say is sorry, i switched to another p2pool network where payouts hopefully works as intended, this is live now, after the switch was made the node never synced up properly, since I was afk I didnt notice until a couple hours later.

He's not allowing outgoing node traffic.

Seems like sometimes our shares are not shared with bob's shares

I think your shares might missing sometimes then resultning in zero payouts

argh! thanks for the hint, i suspected something was not quite right, the payouts feel spotty sometimes, changing again now, sorry to the miners for the hickups, getting there!

after 3 hours only 1 block was found, so something must be wrong or extremly unlucky, so I decided to hook back onto blastbobs P2Pool network, at least variance is lower there than 1 block every X hours standalone

first of all, thanks for sending hash here

rejects are normal, if somewhat high, are you running with the parameters mentioned in first post?

re the payouts, an hour ago I disconnected this pool from blastbobs (and others that mine there) p2pool network and deployed a P2Pool version that uses the same parameters commonly used by the FeatherCoin P2Pools (which have less payout issues than were reported for the CNC P2Pools)

I did this since I was just seeing to low payouts on the other P2Pools, I really believe by changing to FeatherCoin-style parameters the payouts should be more fair now

so far 1 block was found since the new parameters are in place and payouts for the miners connected then were certainly higher, now just waiting for next pool to be found and get more hash into this pool to get higher payout frequencies

basically I dont want to run a pool, but I felt other CNC pools were just paying out really badly, hence I started this one, if anyone has any tips re optimizing P2Pool or re making the payouts more fair Im all ears!

Yes I set both to 1 as recommended by many other scrypt tuning threads and it works well.

decided to disconnect from the p2pool network used by https://github.com/chrda/p2pool-chncoin and run the node standalone (one small node in asia is also joined atm) with some tweaked parameters (instead of last 3 blocks from the aforementioned code it should now consider any shares submitted over last 120 blocks, this is same as most feathercoin p2pool's), this should result in much better payouts for everyone, first block was already found!

due to the changeover there was about 20 minutes of hickup for all miners, sorry about that but hopefully the payouts will be better now!
