Is it too late to get in btw? Or there will be more increased staking in future? And what about the price - should it be cheaper next week? Or should I buy now or there is no difference cause its incalculated already...
Anyone remember a price before increased staking? I know, I know- too lazy to research... Tongue

Jan 26th when the new OP was launched, PayCon was worth 200 Satoshi's and it's worth 800 Satoshi now but there are also approximately 150% more Coins but assuming an average Staking activity of 60% I would say on average if you were consistently Staking you would have 2.5-3 times as many Coins.

I would estimate that Coins are worth 10 times as much.

I think we are pushing the limits of how much you can Stake, if we achieved $5 a Coin then there would be 215k of sell pressure a day and the fee on transactions would be 25 cents, If you increased the Stake rate then you also increase the amount of sell pressure. Fees on the other hand also would play a big role, at higher worth you would also have larger amounts from Fees (which is what the Optimus Prime Flux Capacitors simulate).

What about that huge announcement you are planning? Amazon accepting PayCon at 20$ Soontm?
Jokes aside, do you guys have a plan how to survive post paycoin phase? I mean when Homero is jailed, Paycoin worth 1 doge etc?

Well, PayCon brings the fun back to Crypto and by having no plans and no rules you build according to how the market conditions change over time, leaving everything on the table for a change is undoubtedly the best way to go, I have never had so much fun and inspiration. There is still so much to do that it wouldn't matter if PayCoin was not around, it would still be the legit Coin pretending to be a scam, parodied from a scam pretending to be legit lol

Survival is about adoption but not only that, it's about having a use such as having our own marketplace where users can trade their items or to host events. In regards to the tech itself, it becomes about security, anonymity, storage and CPU usage, it should take no power to run and virtually no space to hold the Blockchain with everything managed by the user itself.

Never too late to get in. PayCon is a relativ young coin and it´s price and marketcap is still very low.

Look , if you buy now , lets say at 500 Sat and the prize is 400 Sat in some weeks (just examples) it won`t matter much because you have a lot more coins until then through staking.

And when it´s prize jumps up then you have more coins plus higher prize.

Coins with such features and development as PayCon normally tend to trade much higher, so it´s not a bad idea to buy now and start staking Smiley

Jokes aside, do you guys have a plan how to survive post paycoin phase? I mean when Homero is jailed, Paycoin worth 1 doge etc?

Don`t know and don´t care because i only own 2 PayCoins Smiley

1 digital PayCoin and 1 physical PayCoin - last one i´m sure it will survive (if i´m not losing it)!

I was talking about survival of PayCon not PayCoin which is doomed to fail because of gaw scams and Homero reputation.
But when PayCoin is dead it might become hard for PayCon to attract new holders which now come to make fun of gaw and to mock their ceo Wink

PayCon will survive, i not think PayCoins "death" -will it come or not - will affect PayCon in any way.

PayCon is not (only) to make fun of GAWd and all the Poopcoin mess.

PayCon just shows what can be done will little bit of btc and hard work and it´s very good for learning and understanding of Proof of Work (PoS)

Sorry it's maybe a stupid question, but I still don't understand how to stake better... So my pc is on 24/7, just having 1-2 reboots a day - will I lose something because of this interrupt (reboot)?
Does the amount of interrupts matter or it is just the whole amount of time staking that counts?
What setstakesplitthreshold should I set in my wallet for better stakes? Does it depends on how much coins I own? If so, what would be optimal setting for if I own 1000 coins? 10000 coins? and 100000 coins?
Thanks Smiley

I think the bar is set for larger wallets to stake more. I keep my wallet open 24/7 and usually only get 30 coins every two days, this week got 36 instead once. Pretty frustrating for a small holder, but it is what it is.

I installed a desktop paycon wallet on a windows pc and gonna keep it running almost 24h at work Tongue
Everything went smooth, no stupid checkpoint errors, a lot better than paycoin.
Just wanted to ask how this staking works - will I lose much due to reboots or some offline time? How important is to be online 24/7 staking?

Staking is important because it provides consensus and security for the network, the more people Staking on the network the stronger it is. The Staking is fairly straightforward, all Proof of stake Blocks reward 30 Coins per Block so at 1 minute Block times that is approximately 43,200 coins a day or currently 0.78% per day (and this reduces over time as the supply grows). Average Block to Stake currently is between 500-1000, this is the amount of Coins in one transaction sent to an address in your wallet. Lower amounts would take longer to Stake with a minimum of 2 days and a maximum of 14 days when Coinage stops growing. Coinage is calculated as the number of Coins * the amount of days past.

If you have some time offline then that's ok but it's better to Stake, there can never be 100% Stake activity so you tend to always receive slightly more % growth than the money supply but if not Staking you lose slightly compared to the money supply. Staking is all Automatic, you can even change how your Blocks split when they Stake using the RPC console located in "help", then "debug window"

In the RPC console you can type "setstakesplitthreshold" followed by the minimum amount you would want your blocks to split, if you set it at 600 then you could Stake multiple smaller Blocks in a single Stake (in the same address) until over 600 or if larger than 1200, it would split your Stake into two Blocks.

We are currently running a Staking promotion giveaway where a large portion of Blocks have extra Coins added to them, if you know of a good faucet or two then be sure to ask them to add PayCon and we can setup some funding.

I think it's still pretty inexpensive to grab some Coins if you want to just buy a bit, total maketcap is somewhere around 7-10k.

There are no stupid questions, everyone is here to learn. You wouldn't lose anything from reboots, your Coins gain Age continuously but can only Stake if connected and would Stake Blocks sooner by being online more often for higher rewards. The amount of interrupts doesn't matter, it is the whole Staking time that counts.

I would suggest doing a bit of testing with the split threshold but generally between 600-1000 would be good to get early Stakes, if you have more Blocks you have more chances to Stake but will take longer. It depends on the size of each Block or multiple Blocks in each address such as if you had 3 Blocks (transactions received) of 400 Coins. If your split threshold was set at 300, then one of the Blocks would eventually Stake and create a Block of 430 Coins, if the split threshold was set at 500 then 2 Blocks of 400 would combine when Staking into a Block of 830. If the Split threshold was set at 150, and a Block of 400 Coins Staked, then the 430 would split into two Blocks of 215 Coins each.
